Today is June 12, Independence Day.
In a time we only understand through history books, our ancestors overturned our fate as lesser peoples to the Spaniards โ but not without cutting their own lives and dreams short.
Spaniards killed Gregorio del Pilar in battle at the age of 24, assassinated Antonio Luna at 32, executed Bonifacio at 33, and Rizal at 35.
These brave forefathers of ours built a future where we Filipinos are masters of our own destinies, and they paid the ultimate price along the way; for only through sacrifice, can we turn change, growth, and dreams into anything real.
As our forefathers continue to rest peacefully, we carry lives free from the weight of oppression. May we realize that our freedom was a symbol of inspiration โ and a gift of conscious sacrifice passed down to us by real, human people who dreamed, suffered, and labored like all of us have.

Leadership cannot be measured by certificates, medals, or accoladesโit is defined by the impact you leave on the people you lead. True leaders inspire others to dream bigger, achieve more, and create greater things together. Today, we celebrate the SPARK Leadership Awards, honoring those who donโt just lead, but light the way for others to shine. ๐ซโค๏ธ๐

The Leaders for Empowerment, Action, and Development (L.E.A.D Partylist) crafted these platforms through a deep understanding of the needs, concerns, and aspirations of Social Studies students. We believe in empowering choices and representing every voice โ including those often unheard.
Our platforms are rooted in real-life engagement and the genuine needs of students, aiming to shape knowledge, strengthen expertise, and foster meaningful growth throughout their college journey.
L.E.A.D Partylist stands for good governance and progressive administration by listening to the clamor of the majority and transforming these concerns into concrete actions. We ensure that every vote, every opinion, and every choice is valued and never put to waste.
One of our key initiatives is the implementation of USSSO Clubs designed to enhance studentsโ talents and skills in dancing, singing, and academics. Our organization will provide opportunities for students to grow, explore their potential, step outside their comfort zones, and most importantly, feel seen and valued.
We also promote Educational Tours that provide students with informative and immersive real-life experiences. These tours will allow students to visit historically significant places, helping them better understand the rich narratives and historical roots relevant to Social Studies.
Lastly, we uphold the importance of the General Assembly โ a platform where studentsโ voices are heard, represented, and addressed with transparency and accountability. Alongside this is Panaghiusa, an initiative that strengthens unity, camaraderie, and solidarity among Social Studies students.
Together, let us lead with empowerment, action, and development. โจ
