LOOK: Last night was a historic evening of celebration as Lapu-Lapu City marked its 65th Charter Anniversary. Among the night's brightest highlights was the presentation of the Mayor’s Special Award by the Honorable Mayor Cindi Chan and the Honorable Congressman Ahong Chan to a number of personalities, including Atty. Augusto W. Go, in recognition of his extraordinary dedication to the city’s progress!

Accepting this prestigious honor on behalf of Chairman Gus were Mr. Rudy Aviles (UC Cultural and Marketing Director) and Dr. Yolanda C. Sayson (UC Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs).

LOOK: Yesterday, June 10, 2026, during the 32nd CHED Anniversary Strategic Partnership Convergence held at the PICC Complex in Pasay City, key leaders gathered to forge pathways for next-generation industries.

A major highlight of the event was the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Participating Technical-Vocational Institutions (TVIs), and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for the Cebu Convergence – Implementation of the Pilot Diploma Programs Relevant to the Semiconductor Industry.

The University of Cebu is proud to be a vital part of this strategic alliance. UC was strongly represented at the ceremony by no less than our Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Yolanda C. Sayson, underscoring the university's steadfast commitment to delivering industry-ready, world-class education that empowers the global workforce.
