Happening now at Room 202 of the Science Building at Lapulapu-Cebu International College, Civil Engineering (CE) students running for the department’s new set of officers are currently being assessed and evaluated by CE Chairperson Engr. Renato L. Maglasang Jr., together with CE faculty member Engr. Sirluck M. Marañon and NSTP Coordinator Mr. Ronald Pielago.

To ensure the candidates’ capacity and competence, an individual capability assessment is being conducted this morning. This will be followed in the afternoon by each party's evaluation, where platforms, future contributions, and visions for the CE Department will be discussed.

Two parties are running: the CEDLAK Party and the ACES Party. The CEDLAK Party, headed by presidential candidate Kylewin Ashton Nable, stands for the department’s shared aspiration for a better, stronger, and more dynamic community. Meanwhile, the ACES Party, led by presidential candidate Maria Eliza Panuncialmon Cano, aims to create more opportunities and encourage collaboration within the department.

The Civil Engineering Department's election day will be on May 7, 2026. Further information is shared on their organization's official page, LCIC Civil Engineering Council.

All aspiring candidates for the LCIC Civil Engineering Council Student Elections for A.Y. 2026–2027 are required to prepare and submit the following:

✔️ Duly accomplished Certificate of Candidacy (COC) Form
✔️ Recent 2x2 ID Picture (formal attire, white background)
✔️ Certificate of Registration (COR) / Proof of Enrollment
✔️ Updated Copy of Grades (for academic evaluation)
✔️ Short Platform of Governance (your plans and initiatives)

A Resolution Prescribing the Guidelines and Schedule for the Conduct of the LCIC Civil Engineering Council Student Elections for Academic Year 2026–2027.

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒, the LCIC Civil Engineering Council upholds the importance of student leadership in fostering academic excellence, integrity, and student welfare;

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒, the conduct of democratic elections ensures that qualified, competent, and deserving students are chosen to represent the Civil Engineering student body;

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒, it is necessary to establish clear rules, procedures, and timelines to ensure an orderly, credible, and transparent electoral process;

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒, an Election Committee has been duly constituted to administer, supervise, and enforce all election-related activities;

𝐍𝐎𝐖, 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄, the LCIC Civil Engineering Council HEREBY ANNOUNCES the official guidelines and schedule for the conduct of the Student Elections for Academic Year 2026–2027:

📌 Filing of Certificate of Candidacy (COC): April 24–27, 2026
📌 Screening and Validation of Candidates: April 28, 2026
📌 Publication of Official List of Candidates: April 28, 2026
📌 Mandatory Orientation and Interview: April 29, 2026
📌 Campaign Period: April 29 – May 5, 2026
📌 Election Proper: May 6, 2026 (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
📌 Proclamation of Winners: May 7, 2026

𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐁𝐘 𝐃𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐒 all aspiring candidates and students to strictly adhere to the prescribed rules and timelines to maintain fairness, transparency, and integrity throughout the electoral process.
