University of San Jose–Recoletos Holds 119th Commencement Exercises
The University of San Jose–Recoletos (USJ-R) celebrated its 119th Commencement Exercises, conferring degrees upon 930 graduates who successfully completed their academic programs and are now ready to embark on the next chapter of their professional journeys.
Among those recognized was Summa Cum Laude Suzanne Anne Kirshinne A. Susas, who earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree. In her commencement message, she shared the lessons that shaped her university journey, emphasizing gratitude, excellence, perseverance, trust in God's plan, and belief in oneself.
She encouraged her fellow graduates to pursue excellence for God's glory, remain steadfast through life's challenges, trust the process even amid uncertainty, and use their education in service of others. She also reminded the Class of 2026 to uphold the University's core values of Interiority, Nationalism, Service, Pioneerism, Integrity, Reliability, and Excellence as they begin their professional and personal journeys.
As the newest USJ-R alumni, the graduates were encouraged to carry the Augustinian Recollect spirit into their chosen professions and communities, living out the University's mission of serving God and society.

LOOK: Outstanding performers in the May 2026 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE), March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and the June 2025 Electronics Engineers Special Professional Licensure Examination were recognized and awarded cash incentives during the 119th Commencement Exercises.
Honored were Bernardito Jose P. Laurente, who placed Top 10 in the March 2026 LET, Blas Miguel V. Escarro who placed Top 4 in the May 2026 CPALE; Joan Alliah M. Carilimdiliman who secured Top 10 in the same examination; and Enuario R. Tesio, who ranked 1st Place in the June 2025 Electronics Engineers Special Professional Licensure Examination.
In his message to the graduating class, Engr. Tesio, a graduate of the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), reflected on his journey from humble beginnings to becoming a board topnotcher while working abroad. He encouraged the graduates to persevere through challenges, reminding them that their beginnings do not define their future and that with determination, discipline, and faith, extraordinary achievements are possible.
