CSU CAFi - Local Student Council

The 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 - 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 was honored to be invited to the Book Launching of the Institute of Bangsamoro Studies (IBS), featuring the book "𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐝𝐚𝐲: 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍," held on June 17, 2026, at Grand Pagana, Pagana Kutawato, Cotabato City.

This event was more than just a ceremony; it was a profound opportunity to delve into the historical, spiritual, and political foundations of the Bangsamoro struggle. The book captures the lived experiences of the Bangsamoro people—showcasing how they sustained themselves through adversity, not just in conflict, but through education, advocacy, healing, documentation, organizing, and institutional work.

As representatives of the youth, we are reminded that understanding our history is the vital first step toward building a peaceful and progressive future. The CAFI-Local Student Council hopes that this launch will inspire us all to champion unity, truth, and collective healing.

In the wise words of 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐡 𝐙𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐥 𝐍𝐚𝐡𝐲𝐚𝐧:

The College of Agriculture and Fisheries – Local Student Council participated in the 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗚𝗬𝗔𝗠𝗖) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 held on June 12–13, 2026, at the Mall of Alnor Convention Hall, Cotabato City, spearheaded by the 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐌𝐔𝐍 and 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐆 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬.

The conference gathered young leaders from different institutions to engage in discussions on governance, leadership, climate action, and youth participation in nation-building. Through parliamentary sessions and collaborative activities, delegates gained valuable insights and experiences that strengthened their commitment to leadership and service.

Enrollment is in full swing as students continue their registration for the upcoming academic year at the College of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAFi). The CAFi Local Student Council is actively assisting enrollees, providing guidance, and helping ensure a smooth and organized enrollment process.

The 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐔𝐒𝐂) stands in solidarity with the individuals, families, and communities affected by the recent earthquake in General Santos City and neighboring areas. As part of our commitment to service and social responsibility, the council supports ongoing relief initiatives aimed at assisting those who continue to recover from the impact of this disaster.

In partnership with relief efforts being coordinated through Mindanao State University–General Santos, the USC joins the call for support and humanitarian assistance. Members of the university community, alumni, stakeholders, and the general public who wish to extend help may do so through the official donation channels listed below. Contributions collected will directly support relief and recovery operations for affected communities.
