Independence Day in the Philippines (Araw ng Kasarinlán) is celebrated annually on June 12. It marks the historic 1898 declaration of sovereignty from Spanish colonial rule by General Emilio Aguinaldo in Kawit, Cavite (Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines, 2023).

This celebration reminds us of the courage and sacrifices of the Filipinos who fought for our freedom. It inspires us to appreciate our independence, uphold our responsibilities as citizens, and continue working together for the progress and betterment of our nation.

STUDENTS ACTIVITIES
June 22, 2026: start of school year 2026-2027 (Opening block)
June 22-26, 2026 - opening activities, such as orientation of school policies and expectations, learner profiling, baseline/pre assessments, and others.

Please take note of our new opening block schedule for Blessed Mary Academy. Before classes start, our BMA teachers will attend orientation and training on the new Tri-term system. This training is important so our teachers can fully understand the new curriculum and grading system, learn updated teaching strategies for better student engagement, prepare activities aligned with Tri-term goals, and ensure smooth, accurate assessments from Day 1. All of this is for one reason — to give your children the best learning experience possible.
