Beyond the campus walls and into the tactical mindset. Last March 07, 2026, the Silliman University Reserve Officer Training Unit performed Small Unit Tactics (SUT). From the wedge formation to the final assault, every move was a masterclass in tactical discipline.

As Class 01-2023, we embody the Latin meaning of ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ง๐๐ญ: bravery and courage. Our path was one of attrition and grit, beginning with 120 aspirants and narrowing through the 40 of the COQC, until only 17 remained to carry the name Forces Of Righteousness To Inspire Zealously. Our logo serves as a constant reminder of our commitmentโthe Spartan helmet for strength, the swords for action, and the values of Loyalty, Honor, Duty, and Valor as our foundation. We emerged from the fire of training not just as cadet officers, but as a united front of 17, ready to inspire and prepared to serve. ๐ก๏ธโ๏ธ

Our logo shows who we are: the cat โOlingโ and dog โAbuโ symbolize our agility, loyalty, and the balance of independence and teamwork. Behind them, the fire represents the challenges of ROTC training, shaping us into stronger leaders, while the helmet and microphone stand for leadership and communication.
The name ๐ฆ๐จ๐ก๐ข๐๐ญ reflects the intensity of the โburn,โ but it also defines our core: Strong, Understanding, Nurturing, Observant, Goal-oriented, and Zealous. These are the traits of a cadet officerโbonded by trust and prepared for leadership. ๐ฅ๐พ

On February 28, 2026, the Silliman University ROTC Unit commenced its 12th training at the Filomena Cimafranca Ballfield in preparation for the upcoming ROTC Graduation on March 7, 2026.
The training began with the practice of the ceremonial parade and review to ensure that each cadet performed with precision and discipline. Following the rehearsal, a lecture was delivered by LTC Nell Brian N. Cebrian (INF) PA, the SU ROTC Unit Commandant and 703rd CDC Director. In his message, he extended his congratulations to the graduating cadets and offered words of advice as they move forward in this new chapter of their lives. โIf I were to give you advice at this point in your life, learn to calm down a little. Also learn to listen and observe,โ he remarked.
The training concluded with final instructions from C/COL Judymae O. Rallustian 1CL, who emphasized the importance of proper decorum and maintaining a respectful attitude during the graduation ceremony.
