📢 2ND QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED) 2026
Earthquakes can occur without warning, making preparedness essential to ensuring everyone's safety.

In support of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council's (NDRRMC) disaster preparedness initiatives, Pasong Kawayan II Elementary School successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
The activity aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness, promote awareness, and enhance the readiness of all school personnel, learners, and stakeholders in responding effectively during earthquake emergencies. All learners attending the morning session actively participated in the drill, demonstrating the proper ex*****on of safety procedures such as "Duck, Cover, and Hold."

The pre-drill orientation and briefing were led by Mr. Fernando R. Juanitas, Science Key Teacher, who provided important information and reminders on earthquake preparedness and safety protocols. Meanwhile, the teachers actively facilitated and supervised the drill to ensure orderly, safe participation by all learners.

Through regular drills and continuous preparedness efforts, our school remains committed to fostering a culture of safety, resilience, and readiness within the school community.

Pasong Kawayan II Elementary School successfully commenced the Day 1 and Day 2 implementation of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) on June 15–16, 2026, benefiting a total of 562 learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6. This is an ongoing initiative that aims to address undernutrition and promote learners' overall health and academic readiness.

Anchored on the commitment to ensure that every child is healthy, nourished, and ready to learn, the program provides nutritious meals to identified beneficiaries. Through this intervention, the school hopes to improve learners’ physical well-being, increase school attendance, and enhance classroom participation.
The SBFP is carried out with the dedicated support of school personnel, teachers, and stakeholders who work together to prepare, distribute, and monitor the feeding activities. Regular monitoring of learners’ weight and health status is also conducted to track progress and ensure the effectiveness of the program implementation.

This is closely supervised by Mrs. Editha M. Guarin, Head Teacher II, together with Ms. Claire D. Pellas, Administrative Officer II, and the SBFP Coordinator, ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of the feeding program.”
Parents and community partners have also expressed their appreciation for the program, recognizing its impact on improving children’s health and school engagement. Their continued support further strengthens the school’s advocacy for child welfare and quality education.
Through the School-Based Feeding Program, Pasong Kawayan II Elementary reaffirms its commitment to developing well-rounded learners who are healthy in body, active in mind, and prepared for academic success.

The Pasong Kawayan II Elementary School faculty extends its sincere gratitude for the smooth, fast, and well-organized distribution of MOOE teachers’ supplies. We truly appreciate the transparency and fairness observed in the procurement process, which reflects strong integrity and genuine care for the needs of teachers.

Special recognition is given to Ms. Claire D. Pellas, Administrative Officer II, our Clerk Cyrril Ramos, and our dedicated School head, Mrs. Editha M. Guarin, Head Teacher II, for their swift coordination and unwavering commitment to ensure that the supplies were properly prepared and distributed without delay. Through their efficient teamwork and clear communication, the process was carried out in an orderly and systematic manner, allowing teachers to receive the materials they needed for their daily instructional tasks. This kind of responsive leadership greatly supports the teaching and learning process in our school.

It is also worth noting that whenever there are instances of shortage in supplies due to items being out of stock from suppliers, the administrative team ensures that these are properly completed and that all available resources are fairly and evenly distributed among teachers, making sure that no one is left behind.

Maraming Salamat po, Mayor Jon Jon Ferrer!
Taos-pusong pasasalamat ang ipinapaabot ng buong pamilya ng Pasong Kawayan II Elementary School kay Hon. Mayor Luis "Jon Jon" Ferrer IV, City Mayor ng General Trias, sa kanyang patuloy na pagmamalasakit sa mga mag-aaral ng ating lungsod.

Taun-taon, isa sa mga inaabangang programa ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng General Trias ang pamamahagi ng mga school supplies sa mga mag-aaral mula sa iba't ibang paaralan. Sa simpleng gawaing ito, napakalaking tulong ang naibibigay sa mga magulang at higit na napapalakas ang loob ng mga batang mag-aaral na magsimula ng panibagong taon ng pag-aaral.

Lubos ang aming kagalakan at pasasalamat dahil ang Pasong Kawayan II Elementary School ay isa sa mga nabiyayaan ng programang ito. Ang mga school supplies na natanggap ng aming mga mag-aaral ay hindi lamang mga gamit sa paaralan kundi simbolo rin ng suporta, pag-asa, at malasakit ng ating lokal na pamahalaan sa edukasyon ng bawat batang GenTri.
Maraming salamat po, Mayor Jon Jon Ferrer, sa inyong walang sawang pagsuporta sa sektor ng edukasyon at sa inyong hangaring mabigyan ng mas magandang kinabukasan ang bawat kabataang General Triaseño. Ang inyong kabutihan at dedikasyon ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa aming komunidad.

PASONG KAWAYAN II ES TEACHERS ATTEND DIVISION TRAINING ON THE REVISED K TO 10 CURRICULUM

Selected teachers from Pasong Kawayan II Elementary School participated in the Division Training of Teachers on the Revised Grades 6, 9, and 10 Curriculum held on May 26–29, 2026, at St. Edward School – Faith Campus, Lancaster, General Trias City, Cavite.
Participants included Teacher Jennifer A. Layco (English), Teacher Vander Fritz T. Delgado (Science), Teacher Cristina S. Salgado (TLE), Teacher Ronalyn M. Ona (Araling Panlipunan), Teacher Crima N. Bolaqui (Filipino), Teacher Jocelyn M. Malinis (Mathematics), Teacher Glenn B. Barsanas (MAPEH), and Teacher Mynalyn I. Quiacos (GMRC).
The training was enriched by the expertise of Dr. Donah Jean S. Sales, Cluster 3 PSDS, who shared valuable insights on curriculum implementation. Also providing guidance was Teacher Jocelyn T. Sotto, M&E Officer for Araling Panlipunan.
Teacher Maryglo V. Ventura, served as one of the resource speakers, sharing learnings and best practices gained from her recent participation in the Regional Training in Araling Panlipunan.
The training served as a testament to SDO General Trias's commitment to strengthening teacher competencies and ensuring the successful implementation of the Revised K to 10 Curriculum. Through continuous professional development, teachers are empowered to provide quality, relevant, and learner-centered education that meets the evolving needs of 21st-century learners.
