Pasong Kawayan II West Elementary School joins the nation in celebrating the 128th Philippine Independence Day.

Pasong Kawayan II West Elementary School successfully conducted the School-Based Training on the Proper Utilization of Phil-IRI Assessment Tools for Key Stage 2 Teachers, led by Arlita V. De Castro, Master Teacher I, and Maricel T. Lorico, English Coordinator.

The training provided Key Stage 2 teachers with a deeper understanding of the proper administration, recording, interpretation, and utilization of Phil-IRI assessment tools to effectively monitor and support learners' reading progress. Through meaningful discussions and hands-on activities, participants enhanced their skills in using assessment data to guide instruction and implement appropriate reading interventions.

This initiative reflects the school's commitment to strengthening literacy programs and ensuring that every learner receives the support needed to become a proficient and lifelong reader.

Pasong Kawayan II West Elementary School was honored to welcome Sir Malvin Ramos of the SDO-DRRM during his visit to our school.

Together with School DRRM Coordinator Vienna Mei R. Ruiz, Candido T. Aquino - School Head and Dr. Donah Jean S. Sales, Sir Malvin Ramos conducted an inspection of the school buildings following the recent earthquake that occurred in Mindanao. The visit aimed to assess the structural condition of the school facilities and ensure the safety and well-being of both learners and personnel.

This initiative highlights the importance of preparedness and vigilance in maintaining a safe learning environment.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Sir Malvin Ramos and Ms. Vienna Mei R. Ruiz for their dedication and commitment to school safety.

To ensure the successful implementation of the Language Mapping Process and the Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment (CRLA), our Key Stage 1 teachers participated in the Training on the Language Mapping Process cm CRLA Administration held on June 9, 2026.

Led by our school Master Teachers, Arlita V. De Castro and Christine Austria-Creus, together with English Coordinators Ronah Enolva and Maricel T. Lorico, the training provided valuable orientation and guidance on the proper conduct of language mapping and CRLA administration.

Through this activity, teachers were equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively carry out the assessment and support the literacy development of our young learners.
