Demonstrating its commitment to disaster preparedness and campus safety, Cavite State University–General Trias City Campus actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held today, June 18, 2026.

In accordance with NDRRMC Memorandum No. 17, s. 2026, dated January 18, 2026, the University joined institutions across the country in conducting the quarterly drill aimed at enhancing earthquake preparedness and strengthening emergency response capabilities. Faculty members, staff, and students took part in the simulation, practicing proper evacuation procedures and safety protocols in the event of a major earthquake.

The activity serves as a vital reminder that preparedness saves lives. Through regular drills and continuous awareness efforts, CvSU–General Trias City Campus remains steadfast in fostering a culture of safety, resilience, and readiness in the face of natural hazards.

Out of the 3,214 applicants who applied online, only 441 applicants can be accommodated and admitted to the campus due to its limited carrying capacity.

𝙎𝙡𝙤𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙙:
Qualified applicants must confirm their slots from June 15 to June 30, 2026. Failure to confirm within the given period will result in the forfeiture of the applicant's admission slot.

Applicants qualified for the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) programs are required to undergo and pass an interview before they can fully secure admission to their chosen programs and reserve their slots.

In its continued pursuit of institutional excellence, Cavite State University - General Trias City Campus recently underwent a Quality Management System (QMS) Readiness Assessment Visit on June 10, 2026, marking another important step in strengthening its systems and processes in alignment with ISO-based quality standards.

The assessment provided a comprehensive review of existing procedures, documentation, and operational practices, allowing the campus to gauge its preparedness for full QMS implementation. It also served as an avenue for meaningful engagement, where key personnel actively participated in discussions, clarifications, and process validations aimed at identifying strengths and areas for further improvement.

Beyond compliance, the activity highlighted the collective commitment of the campus to uphold a culture of quality, efficiency, and accountability in all aspects of service delivery. It reaffirmed the shared goal of continuously improving systems to better serve stakeholders through more streamlined and responsive processes.

And as we continue our journey toward institutional excellence, this milestone reflects our shared commitment to building systems that not only meet standards but also strengthen the quality of education and service we provide to our community.

We proudly celebrate the achievement of our fourth-year BS Psychology students, Martin Jorge Vicencio, Shullamae Gabrielle Abong, Maurein Torente, Samuel Sagal, and Emmanuel Magpantay, for securing 3rd Best R&D Poster under the Social Science Category during the 2026 Student Research Symposium held on June 4, 2026, at the Bulwagang Hardin, Interdisciplinary Research Building, CvSU-Main Campus.

Their award-winning study, “A Case Study on the Parenting Practices and Emotional Wellbeing of a Gay Solo Parent Raising a Child with Autism Spectrum Disorder,” exemplifies the power of research in advancing understanding, empathy, and social inclusion. Guided by their adviser, Dr. Alelie B. Diato, and Technical Critic, Mr. Lester Villas, this recognition reflects their dedication to academic excellence and meaningful scholarly inquiry.

We are proud to share that a research paper co-authored by members and former members of Cavite State University – General Trias City Campus was recognized as Best Research Paper Awardee during the recently concluded Asian Graduate Studies Summit (A-GRASS) 2026 held in Tagaytay City.

The award-winning study, entitled “Academic Resilience and Academic Achievement of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Student Beneficiaries in Cavite, Philippines,” was recognized for its significant contribution toward advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 1: No Poverty).

This research was presented during the conference by Dr. Alelie B. Diato, the lead researcher, together with her collaborative team: Mr. Jonel Camalig, faculty member of CvSU General Trias City Campus; Dr. Lauro B. Pascua, former Campus Administrator of CvSU General Trias City Campus and currently the Campus Administrator of CvSU CCAT Campus; and Mr. Rommel H. Sarreal, former faculty member of CvSU General Trias City Campus and currently a faculty member of CvSU CCAT Campus.

This achievement reflects the University’s commitment to impactful research, academic excellence, and social development. May this success continue to ispire our academic community to purse meaningful research that creates positive change in society.
