Naisabatas na ang Alternative Learning System Act na naglalayong paigtingin at palakasin ang ating kampanya sa edukasyon para sa ALS learners.

Ilan sa mga mahahalagang probisyon ng batas ay:

- Pagtatayo ng ALS Community Learning Centers (CLCs) sa bawat lungsod at munisipalidad

- Paglilikha ng Bureau of Alternative Education

- Pagpapalawak ng ALS Teachers Program

- Pagdadadag ng mga panibagong g**o sa ALS

- Pagsasagawa ng regular na pagsusulit sa ALS A&E

- Pagkakaloob ng transportation at teaching aid allowance para sa ALS implementers

- Pagpapalakas ng partnership sa iba't ibang government agencies

- Pagpapatuloy ng mga programa ng ALS tulad ng A&E, IPEd, Academic-Focused Bridging, at Functional Education and Literacy
