𝙒𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙎, The CEMDS-SC COMELEC upholds integrity and transparency to observe fair, honest, democratic, and systematic elections within the Student Council.

𝙒𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙎, Due to the lack of timely response from the platform developer of E-Boto, it is necessary to provide more ample time for canvassing of void or invalid votes to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the results.

𝙒𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙎, The COMELEC recognizes the importance of transparency by ensuring that the canvassing of votes shall be open to duly accredited parties and observers.

𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘, pursuant to the powers vested in the CEMDS-SC COMELEC by the 2022 Constitution and By-Laws of College of Economics, Management and Development Studies - Student Council, it is hereby 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗗, that the official canvassing of votes for the CEMDS-SC Elections 2025–2026 shall be on hold under the supervision of the Commission on Elections, until the void votes are completely deducted in official tally of vote count.

𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗗 𝗙𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥, that the results of the canvassing of votes shall be formally declared and posted in all official CEMDS-SC platforms for public information and transparency once vote counting is officially completed.

In light of the system bug experienced earlier 4:00pm to 6:00 pm, The Commission is hereby extending the election by two hours from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, up to 12:00 am of September 11, 2025.

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖 | 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 8, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE ELECTION PERIOD FOR CEMDS HALALAN 2025

WHEREAS, Article XXII, Section 6 of the 2022 CEMDS-SC Constitution and By-Laws stated that “There shall be a Commission on Elections referred to as the COMELEC. It shall supervise and conduct the electoral process of the positions for the Executive and Legislative office.”

WHEREAS, Section 11, clauses a and c of the same Article stated that “It shall be the duty of the COMELEC to conduct election in an efficient and effective manner; and Be the sole judge of all election protests that shall include objections to the qualifications of the candidates, protests on the conduct of election campaign, casting of votes, canvassing of votes, and violation of rules and regulations.”

WHEREAS, The CEMDS-SC COMELEC upholds integrity and transparency to observe fair, honest, democratic, and systematic elections within the Student Council.

WHEREAS, CEMDS-SC COMELEC acknowledges the technical errors and malfunctions that have occurred within the voting platform, which unfortunately hindered some students from fully exercising their right to vote;

NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers in the CEMDS-SC COMELEC by the 2022 Constitution and By-Laws of College of Economics, Management and Development Studies - Student Council, hereby RESOLVED, that the election period will be extended to September 11, 2025 at 12:00 AM to ensure that the voters will be able to exercise their right to vote despite of unforeseen technical difficulties.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the basis of the two-hour extension was because of the system bug experienced during September 10, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the issue was due to a time zone difference code error, incorrectly detecting that the election was not ongoing, resulting in failed vote submissions.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that these amendments are to be implemented immediately for the upcoming CEMDS-SC Elections 2025-2026 to ensure that the election process will abide by the provisions of the Election Code for the efficient flow of the election.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that this resolution shall take effect after its publication.

✅ The technical team has already resolved this by deploying a new code. You may now try voting again and successfully cast your votes.
