June 12, 2026 marks a significant occasion as we proudly commemorated the 128th Philippine Independence Day. A tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism of the heroes who fought for our nation's freedom.

As we remember the bravery and sacrifices of the heroes who fought for our freedom, we are reminded that their legacy continues through those who serve others today. We also recognize our modern-day heroes, our DRRM personnel, first responders, healthcare workers, uniformed services, and volunteers who continue to put service above self in helping and protecting our communities.

May the spirit of independence continue to inspire us to serve with integrity, lead with purpose, and work together for a stronger and brighter Philippines.

1. 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗬: Know your "𝑫𝒓𝒐𝒑, 𝑪𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓, 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝑶𝒏" spot in every lecture hall, lab, and dorm. Practice until your reflex is instant and automatic.
2. 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗗: Be aware of your surroundings. Falling objects are the biggest threat. If outside, GO TO AN OPEN AREA away from structures and trees.
3. 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧 & 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗗: Follow campus directions and 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐃 about evacuation routes and aftershocks.

May 27, 2026 marked a remarkable milestone as the Indiana Aerospace University - Aerospace Engineering Research and Development successfully hosted the Philippine Can Satellite Rocket Competition. The event brought together brilliant and innovative teams who showcased exceptional creativity, technical expertise, and dedication through their impressive rocket launches.

With the steadfast presence of our IDRRMU responders ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants and spectators, the competition became not only a celebration of innovation and scientific advancement, but also of collaboration, passion, and excellence.

Congratulations to all participating teams for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the future of aerospace and technology!

The visit provided participants with firsthand exposure to the emergency response, fire rescue, and safety operations of Changi Airport, one of the world’s leading and most awarded airports.

For the IAU Safety Officers, the experience offered valuable insights into world-class safety and emergency management practices, further enhancing their knowledge and capacity in carrying out their responsibilities within the institution.
