The constituents of the Institute of Renewable Natural Resources (IRNR) participated in the UP-wide Earthquake Drill as part of the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held on 18 June 2026.

During the activity, IRNR faculty, staff, and students practiced the prescribed evacuation procedures and proceeded to the designated muster area for the second floor of Calixto Mabesa Hall. The drill was led by the Facilities and Beautification Committee (FabCom), which facilitated the orderly evacuation, building inspection, and post-drill orientation.

This activity was conducted pursuant to Memorandum No. PAJ 26-02 on the 2026 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill and in accordance with OVCCA Memorandum No. 16, Series of 2026. Through initiatives such as this, the University continues to strengthen its culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience in the face of seismic hazards.

The Institute of Renewable Natural Resources (IRNR) joins the global community in celebrating World Environment Day 2026!

This year's observance highlights climate action through the campaign. As the Earth sends clear signals through rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and changing ecosystems, we are called to respond with meaningful actions that protect and restore our environment.

Observed every 5 June and led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Environment Day serves as the world's largest platform for environmental awareness and action. As an institute committed to the sustainable management, conservation, and restoration of natural resources, IRNR stands with the global call for urgent climate action.

The signals are clear. The time to act is now. 🌱
