The UPOU Committee on Elections (CoE) reports its investigation into the unauthorized online endorsement of Councilor Candidate Justin Joy Versoza, which was posted on the page of The UP Repertory Company on May 4, 2026, at 7:00 PM—nineteen hours after the campaign ban took effect.

Following a comprehensive review of the evidence, the CoE has determined that the candidate 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱, as findings verified that the candidate had no administrative control or scheduling agency over the third-party post, and all digital assets were fully transmitted on May 2, prior to the ban.

However, because the investigation revealed 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 on the part of the candidate and the party for failing to notify their external partner of UPOU's strict timelines 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗘 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝘇𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗴𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Moving forward, any further infraction of the Election Code, regardless of severity, will result in an immediate reassessment of the candidate's eligibility, and the Sinagtala campaign is directed to ensure all external affiliates are strictly aligned with the remaining electoral schedule.

All parties and members of the student body have until 𝟭𝟭:𝟱𝟵 𝗣𝗠 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 to file any formal manifestations or protests. Following the conclusion of this period, the Committee will move toward the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟯.

The UPOU Committee on Elections (CoE) releases the official Certificate of Canvassing for the 2026 Special Elections.

After a transparent and verified canvassing process conducted in the presence of official watchers and the student body, we present the consolidated results for the following positions:

Undergraduate Representative

339 votes (87.37% of the undergraduate vote)

Councilor
𝗖𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗢𝗚, 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗟 𝗔𝗟𝗬𝗦𝗔:
395 total votes (87.20%)

𝗢𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗢, 𝗠𝗜𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗟:
367 total votes (81.02%)
