DIP Lab in Thailand! 🇹🇭

conducted an academic visit to the Human and Community Resource Development (HCRD) Department of Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Thailand, from June 8 to 12, 2026. They also facilitated a two-day workshop on policy analysis and policy brief writing for HCRD faculty members. ✍️📚

Congratulations to staff and UPLB College of Public Affairs and Development University Researcher, Ms. Dhanicca Amor Domingo, for presenting her Independent Study (IS) project, at the Summer Symposium 2026 organized by the School of Public Policy Chiang Mai University (SPP-CMU)👏

Ms. Domingo is currently an MA Public Policy Student at SPP-CMU. She helped develop the citizen-centered process adapted by the DIP Lab for its policy prototyping initiative for the Solid Waste Management at selected barangays in San Pablo City. 💡🙌

From Community Voices to Policy Action: DIP Lab Presents Policy Prototyping Results for Solid Waste Management in San Pablo City

"During the session, Dr. Malabayabas, presented the key insights gathered from the previously conducted Kapehan sessions. This included discussions on the identified personas and systems cards developed from the previous Citizen’s Forum activities, as well as the emotions mapping conducted with community members of Brgy. 1-B and Brgy. Sta. Monica, representatives from the City SWM Office, barangay officials, and Alterna Verde."

successfully facilitated a Policy Brief Writing Training-Workshop with the DA - Bureau of Agricultural Research, Climate-Resilient Agriculture Office (CRAO), and regional focal persons.

Around nine draft policy briefs were produced, strengthening participants’ capacity to communicate climate-resilient technologies and drive evidence-based action. 🌱✍️

It highlights the growing environmental challenges faced by the Pinacanauan De Tuguegarao Watershed and the urgent need for sustainable, nature-based solutions. 🌱🌊

Through this visual, we aim to make research-based policy insights more accessible and actionable for stakeholders, policymakers, and the public.
