The UPLB Rice Varietal Improvement Team (RVIT) would like to congratulate Nelson Dapal III, BS Agriculture major in Agronomy with specialization in Plant Breeding, for successfully defending his undergraduate thesis entitled: โPerformance of Selected Rice Genotypes under Salinity Stress at Seedling Stageโ

Our work on NSIC Rc 476 is now available in the Philippine Journal of Crop Science. ๐พ๐๐
The paper details the breeding history of NSIC Rc 476 and summarizes its performance in national and participatory trials, including yield and stability across multiple environments, reactions to major pests and diseases, grain quality attributes, and trait-based SNP marker profiling for key traits relevant to rainfed lowland ecosystems in the Philippines.
