You are invited to the seminar entitled “Translating genetic simulations into practical breeding decisions” to be delivered by Dr. Chris Gaynor on 13 October 2023, Friday, from 4 to 5 PM at IBS Room C-105, RB Espino Wing, Biological Sciences Building, UPLB Campus.

Dr. Gaynor is a well renowned quantitative geneticist and a breeding simulation expert. He is the author of the R Package AlphaSimR which is one of the best simulation packages that exists currently for breeders and quantitative geneticists to optimize their breeding programs. He used to work in Roslin Institute, UK and is currently working as Rice Principal Quantitative Genetic Scientist at Bayer, USA.
