🌾 Introducing another incredible mind behind 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐨-𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐒 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! 🌾

We are thrilled to introduce 𝐒𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐚 — 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 at the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 (𝗜𝗥𝗥𝗜) and a dedicated passionate advocate in the conservation of rice genetic resources. 🇵🇭🌱

From her early roots in plant breeding and medicinal plants research at UPLB, to leading the Seed Management function of the IRRI Genebank, Sis Marionette's journey is a testament to passion, perseverance, and purpose. 🔬

She oversees seed processing, quality assurance, viability monitoring, and the long-term conservation of rice genetic resources held in trust for the global community, work that directly contributes to food security and crop diversity for generations to come. 🌍🍚

Her story reminds us that behind every grain of rice is a scientist committed to feeding the world. 💡

From championing the Grants-in-Aid Program, the Balik Scientist Program, and the S&T Fellows Program, to being elected Vice Chair for Asia-Pacific of the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development in 2024, Sis Leah's legacy speaks for itself.
