‎Ngayong araw, ating ginugunita ang 𝒊𝒌𝒂-𝟏𝟔𝟓 𝒏𝒂 𝒌𝒂𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒏 ng ating Pambansang Bayani, si 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐏. 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐥. Isang huwaran ng karunungan, katapangan, at pagmamahal sa bayan.

‎Mga Ka-Eduk, alam niyo ba na ang Buhayani Festival na ipinagdiriwang tuwing ika-19 ng Hunyo sa Lungsod ng Calamba ay isang natatanging pagkilala sa buhay, mga adhikain, at pamana ni Dr. Jose Rizal?
‎
‎Ang salitang “𝐁𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢” ay hango sa mga katagang “𝑩𝒖𝒉𝒂𝒚 𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒊” at “𝑩𝒖𝒉𝒂𝒚 𝒏𝒂 𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒊.” Sumasalamin ito hindi lamang sa makulay na buhay at kabayanihan ni Rizal, kundi pati na rin sa mga karaniwang mamamayan na patuloy na nagsisilbing bayani sa kani-kanilang komunidad sa pamamagitan ng kanilang paglilingkod, sakripisyo, at pagmamahal sa kapwa.

‎Sa pamamagitan ng pagdiriwang na ito, patuloy na binibigyang-buhay ng Calamba ang mga aral, pagpapahalaga, at makabayang diwa ni Rizal upang magsilbing inspirasyon sa kasalukuyan at sa mga susunod pang henerasyon.

‎𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 is how a person presents themselves to the world through clothing, appearance, behavior, voice, and mannerisms. It may or may not align with their gender identity.

‎𝑩𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒙 refers to the physical and biological characteristics, such as chromosomes, hormones, and reproductive anatomy, that are often used to classify individuals at birth.

‎𝑨𝒕𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 refers to the emotional, romantic, and/or s*xual feelings a person may have toward others. It is about who a person is drawn to and is distinct from their gender identity, gender expression, and s*x.

‎ While these concepts are related, they are not the same. Learning their differences helps us foster respect, empathy, and inclusivity within our community.

In anticipation of transportation challenges due to the nationwide transport strike, classes will shift to online modality on April 14-17, 2026.

Meanwhile, campuses will operate with a skeleton workforce on April 15-17, 2026. Campus Directors will issue guidelines on the implementation of this arrangement.
