🌿 2nd W**d Contest 2026 Successfully Concluded! 🌿

The 2nd W**d Contest of WSC 141: W**ds and Their Management was successfully held last May 21, 2026. The activity served as the culminating event of the course, where students demonstrated the knowledge and skills they gained throughout the semester through a series of challenging and practical competitions.

Participants competed in five major areas of W**d Science:
🌱 W**d Identification
🧪 Herbicide Symptomology Identification
📐 Herbicide Calculation
🚜 Sprayer Calibration
👨‍🌾 Farmer’s Problem Solving

The contest highlighted not only the students’ technical competence, but also their teamwork, critical thinking, and ability to apply W**d Science concepts to real-world agricultural situations.

🎓✨ Yesterday, May 25, 2026, IWEP conducted the 198/200a Pre-Deployment Seminar for Major Practice/Practicum students!

The seminar equipped students with essential information on 📄 practicum/major practice requirements and expected outputs, 💼 workplace ethics, and 📢 proper procedures for airing grievances — all geared toward preparing them for a meaningful and professional experience.

Special thanks to Mr. Ricardo V. Reveche, Supervising Administrative Officer of UPLB HRDO, for sharing valuable insights on ethics and professionalism in the workplace. 🙌💡

🌾🎬 AGRI 42 Film Pestival 2026 🚜✨

Last May 12, 2026, AGRI 42 students showcased their video analyses during the Film PESTival, featuring their field experiences and interviews with farmers from Brgy. Casile, Cabuyao, Laguna. 👩‍🌾🌿🎥

The activity served as a platform for students to creatively present the realities of agricultural production, farmer experiences, and pest management practices observed during their field immersion. 🌱🐛🎞️

From fieldwork to filmmaking, AGRI 42 students transformed their learning experiences into stories that highlight the importance of agriculture and the people behind it. 💡🌾
