A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and Aces Philproducers Corporation (APC) on 16 June 2026.
Through this partnership, UPLB and APC affirmed their shared commitment to exploring collaborative initiatives within the UP Sierra Madre Land Grant, including corn silage production and integrated dairy farm operations, while creating opportunities for research, instruction, extension, innovation, and technology transfer.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Enterprise Management (OVCIEM), UPLB Land Grant Development Office, Dairy Training and Research Institute (DTRI), College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS), and the Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO).
Together, UPLB and APC aim to advance agricultural innovation and foster meaningful opportunities for learning, research collaboration, and community engagement.

UPLB TTBDO conducted its Strategic Planning activity on 4–5 June 2026 at the UP Laguna Quezon Land Grant in Siniloan, Laguna.
The two-day activity brought together TTBDO personnel to assess the accomplishments of each unit against their Key Performance Indicators, identify strategies for achieving targets, and align priorities in support of the Office's goals.
The planning session also provided an opportunity to address operational challenges, strengthen collaboration, and reaffirm TTBDO's commitment to advancing innovation and technology transfer initiatives in support of UPLB’s mandate.
The UPLB Office of the Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Enterprise Management also joined the activity, providing valuable insights on addressing operational challenges and expressing support for the various programs and activities of the office.

𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀: Innovative startups leveraging science, engineering, or technology to develop new products or processes. These may come from research spin-offs or independent inventions with commercialization potential.
Selected incubatees will be supported through mentorship, intellectual property and technology services, investor readiness assistance, and ecosystem linkages within and beyond UPLB.

UPLB and UniEd explored potential collaboration on skills simulation laboratories and certification programs, utilizing UPLB facilities such as the Nanotechnology Program.
UPLB and UniEd will explore possible areas of collaboration, including the development of skills simulation laboratories and certification programs through UPLB laboratories such as the Nanotechnology Program.
Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr. was joined by representatives from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Enterprise Management, the Technology Transfer and Business Development Office, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Institute of Chemistry.
UniEd was represented by President Jose Maria Ochave, Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Manager Rene Ledesma, and other members of its delegation.

UPLB and Pilmico formalized a Memorandum of Understanding for the proposed Swine Research and Development Center at the UP Sierra Madre Land Grants in Laguna.
Technology Transfer and Business Development Office, together with the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Enterprise Management, Land Grant Development Office, College of Agriculture and Food Science, and Institute of Animal Science, joined the signing ceremony with Pilmico.
UPLB and Pilmico signed a memorandum of understanding for the proposed Swine Research and Development Center at the UP Sierra Madre Land Grants, specifically in the Laguna Land Grant.
CJCJ was joined by officials and representatives from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Enterprise Management, Land Grant Development Office, College of Agriculture and Food Science, and Institute of Animal Science.
The Pilmico delegation was led by its President and CEO, Tristan Aboitiz.

An engaging and dynamic Engineering Innovation Demo Day with the UPLB Department of Industrial Engineering (DoIE) last 15 May, showcasing student-led innovation.
The Department of Industrial Engineering under the College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology (CEAT) led the Engineering Innovation Demo Day on May 15.
The event, held at the SEARCA Umali Auditorium, served as a platform for engineering students to pitch innovation projects for possible prototype development support and consideration for the James Dyson Award 2026.
It was conducted in partnership with the Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO) under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Enterprise Management (OVCIEM) and the James Dyson Foundation.

On 21 May 2026, the UPLB TTBDO welcomed the UP Manila Technology Transfer and Business Development Office for a benchmarking activity aimed at strengthening coordination and fostering collaboration between the two offices. The session served as a valuable platform for sharing best practices in technology transfer, innovation support, and startup development initiatives.
During the session, UPLB TTBDO presented its ongoing initiatives and operational processes, providing both offices with opportunities to explore potential areas for resource sharing, knowledge exchange, and strengthened institutional collaboration.
