UPLB to launch centralized Knowledge Management System for Food and Nutrition Security – UPLB AGORA 16/07/2025

The UPLB Interdisciplinary Studies Center on Food and Nutrition Security (IdSC-FaNS) is set to launch a centralized Knowledge Management System (KMS) before the start of the next academic year.

Designed as a web application, the KMS aims to address long-standing knowledge-sharing and collaboration gaps within the university’s research community.

Dear LABers, we are pleased to introduce our first speaker for our 11th symposium and general assembly, Dr. Lotis Escobin-Mopera!

She is an UP Scientist I, Associate Professor, and former Director of the Institute of Food Science and Technology at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, and she will be joining us in person to share her expertise.

She will deliver her talk on "Philippine Indigenous Prebiotic Sources: A Sustainable Preference for Functional Food," drawing from 20 years of research on functional foods on various root crops, fruits, and vegetables, as well as product innovations utilizing indigenous raw materials.
