The JA Solis Museum of Veterinary Anatomy extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Chinggay Acap-Baliatan'05 and Dr. Lester Louis Lopez'05 of Manila East Veterinary Care for their generous donation of tortoise specimens to our growing collection:

Four (4) Sulcata tortoises (Centrochelys sulcata)
One (1) Radiated tortoise (Astrochelys radiata)
One (1) Red-footed tortoise (Chelonoidis carbonarius)
One (1) Cherry-headed tortoise (Chelonoidis carbonarius, cherry-head variant)

Their contribution will go a long way in supporting veterinary education, research, and the appreciation of wildlife conservation among students and museum visitors alike. These specimens will serve as valuable learning materials that help future veterinarians gain a deeper understanding of anatomy and species preservation.

As they say, “slow and steady wins the race” — and with generous support like this, our mission to preserve knowledge and inspire future veterinarians continues to move forward, one shell at a time. 🐢✨
