(AIDSI) is an international consulting and training management organization possessing strong linkages with leading universities, technical institutes, non-government institutions, private corporations and research agencies worldwide in the broad fields of finance, economics and management, rural development, education, agriculture, arts and sciences, environment, engineering and other sciences an
d disciplines. AIDSI offers technical assistance to capacity building and institutional strengthening projects as well as the conceptualization and delivery of custom-designed courses for top and middle level officers, researchers, and development agents/managers. These capability-building programs make it possible for clients to meet manpower requirements essential in carrying out their development programs. As part of its commitment in consultancy and training, AIDSI provides the following technical assistance services:
• Arrangement and Management of Training and Study Tour Programs. AIDSI organizes training and observation/study visits to any country in the world. It facilitates the placement of trainee(s)/research fellow(s) to a host institution (university, company and/or research agency) for a specified period of time. For the study visit, it involves visits to various government and non-government organizations, project offices and private agencies for briefings, discussions and interaction with key officers and staff.
• Training Needs Assessment (TNA). AIDSI conducts TNA to help clients identify their training requirements and to formulate appropriate programs based on the identified needs of the target participants. This process helps in further fine tuning the program and in ensuring that specific training requirements are effectively met;
• Module Design and Planning. AIDSI carefully designs capability-building programs in collaboration with leading centers of excellence worldwide and in close consultation with the clients. Accordingly, this includes the provision of efficient logistics and support services for the actual offering of training courses, once an agreement with the client has been reached;
• Management of Trainer’s Training. This involves the development of in-house training capabilities, to help the clients organize and develop their own training programs;
• Placement Services for Degree Programs and/or Arrangement for Regular and Customized Short-term Training Courses to appropriate institutions in Asia, USA, Europe, Australia and other countries. With an established linkage with leading centers of excellence worldwide, AIDSI provides its clients with a wide range of venue options;
• Post Training and Continuing Co-evaluation. AIDSI conducts comprehensive evaluation of project staff to determine the impact of the capability-building program and to identify additional needs/training requirements for the project, if any. Since its inception in 1986, AIDSI has been active in the planning, development and management of human resources development, capability building, institutional strengthening programs and skill upgrading activities of key personnel in various development projects supported by multi-lateral and bilateral funding agencies in government and private organizations. It has supported the growth of more than 150 institutions by providing consultancy and management services to various sectors. It has provided technical and managerial support to a number of consultancy projects and over 460 training programs covering Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
