May 2 Saturday Play Session | Today was all about ten little fishies! Our little learners had a splash-tastic time counting, singing along, and creating their own colorful fish art. It was a fun and engaging way to build early math skills while sparking creativity and play. 🤎

May 9 Saturday Play Session | Today was all about celebrating our mommies, nanays, and mamas -- whatever we lovingly call them 🤎 We started with a read-and-sing-along of "You Are My Sunshine," then we painted flowers as little gifts for our moms. And of course, our learners enjoyed some delightfully messy, child-led play.

To all Balay Escuela mommies, nanays, lolas, and even tita-mamas, we're wishing you all a happy mothers' day! 🤎

These Story Travelers set off on a meaningful journey guided by Filipino children’s stories like "Ang Araw sa Palengke," "Mga Tinapay ni Tinay," and "Saan-Saan."

Through these stories, the children unlocked meanings behind some unfamiliar Filipino words and connected them to real-life experiences.

They made their own "bayong" and excitedly pretended to shop in our mini "palengke," choosing and “buying” items just like in everyday Filipino life.

They also explored well-loved Filipino bread and shaped their own creations using dough. To top it all off, they designed their very own “space jeep,” imagining all the places they wished to visit and bravely sharing their ideas with the group.

Moments like these remind us how powerful storytelling can be -- bringing language, culture, and play together in a joyful and meaningful way. 🤎

Hidden beneath the surface lies a secret world of roots! Children will discover how plants grow, survive, and thrive. We’ll also explore shapes, patterns, depths, and even flavors along the way!
