Sa lahat ng mga tatay, Happy Father’s Day!!

Reminder para atin lahat na tatay:

Our family needs more than our income

They need our presence.

One day, our children won’t remember how many hours we worked.

But they’ll remember if we were there.

The conversations.

Yung tawanan.

The walks.

The hugs and kisses.

Yung mga memories.

That’s why your health matters.

Why?

The people you love want more time with you.

More years at lakas.

Today, I’m praying for every father.

May God give you good health.

May He strengthen your body.

May He renew your mind.

May He bless the work of your hands.

And may He give you many more years

to love, lead, serve, and enjoy your family.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads.

A lot of people are preparing for retirement.

but very few are preparing for OLD AGE.

The two are NOT the same.

You can have money.

A nice house and car.

A comfortable life.

but if your knees hurt every time you walk…

If you need help getting up from a chair…

If you can't keep up with your apo…

Will you really enjoy it?

That hit me differently after our baby girl arrived.

Because one day, I don’t just want to be alive.

I want to be present and strong.

I want to walk beside her.

Play with future apos.

Go on family trips.

Enjoy simple moments without pain holding me back.

That’s one reason my wife and I still train.

Not because we’re chasing a certain look or 6 packs although maganda din kapag ma maintain haha.

but really, we're preparing for future moments.

the goal is not just to live longer.

It’s to stay strong enough to enjoy the people you love.

Also, with the arrival of our baby girl just a month ago,

I want to walk her down the aisle na malakas ako at healthy..

Still able to stand beside her.

not in a wheelchair or relying on a cane (thank You Lord Jesus!)

Love wakes up early.

This morning between 6-7am, I was walking under the sun with our baby girl.

Trying to get her sunlight at saka her grow healthy and strong.

Here’s what Im thinking:

She has no idea what we’re doing for her.

She does NOT know what sunlight is.

She does NOT know what vitamin D3 is.

She doesn’t know we’re trying to do what’s best for her.

She just trusts us and feel safe with her parents.

Completely.

and siguru that’s a small glimpse of how our Heavenly Father sees us.

Sometimes we don’t understand why God is leading us a certain way.

Why He asks us to trust Him.
Why some seasons don’t make sense.

Dba ang hirap minsan?

but maybe we don’t need to understand everything.

Maybe we just need to know that our Father is all good and all loving and He’s doing what’s best for us.

Even when we can’t see it YET.

Just like a baby under the morning sun.

Receiving something good without fully understanding it.

While most people think of freedom as something political…

I started thinking about something more personal.

What if freedom is being able to do the things you want to do…

without pain stopping you?

To walk without your knees hurting.

To take the stairs without thinking twice.

To travel without worrying about your back.

To play with your apo instead of watching from a chair.

To carry your own groceries.

To go to the CR without asking for help.

Because the truth is,
many people are free…

but their bodies are NOT.

And when your body stops cooperating,

simple things become difficult.

That’s why I see fitness differently now.

Not as a way to impress people.

But as a way to stay free.

Free to serve.

Free to move.

Free to enjoy the people God has entrusted to us.

Maybe real independence isn’t just about where you live.

Maybe it’s also about having a body strong enough

to live the life you’ve been given.

I thought I was just naturally skinny.

Maybe you’ve said something similar.

“Hindi talaga ako tumataba.”

“Mabilis talaga metabolism ko.”

That’s exactly what I used to believe.

But the real problem was NOT my genetics.

I was weak. Walang energy.

Madalas mapagod at magkasakit.

and sa totoo lang ha,

I thought that was normal.

Until I realized something important.

Your body adapts to how you treat it.

If you don’t build strength, life slowly becomes harder.
Bakit?

mahirap na magbuhat kahit ng grocery.
or pagakyat ng hagdan.

Paghabol sa anak or paglaro sa apo.

Simple things.

Pero sila eto ang dahilan kung bakit gusto nating lumakas.

Today, I’m grateful for the muscle.

NOT because of how it looks ha..

But because of what it allows me to do.

More energy at strength.

More life.

This morning, Baby Zoe was getting her sunlight.

So naisip ko...

why not get mine too?(since busy, mag multi task na lang)

A few push-ups at stretching

Before becoming a dad, akala ko kailangan ng perfect schedule para makapag-workout.

Yung uninterrupted 1hr

Yung perfect sa timing

Now I'm learning something different.

Sometimes the answer is NOT finding more time.

It's including your family in the things that matter.

Because one day, my daughter won't remember how many push-ups I did.

But she'll remember that dad was there.

I think that's a healthier way to live.
