🚆🌍 Who’s Taking the Mic? 🌍🚆
✨ Featured at Panel Discussion 1: Sustainability, Resilience, and Responsiveness for a Future‑Ready Railway System is Mr. Markus Roesner, Director for Railway and Logistics at the Asian Development Bank (ADB). 🌏🎉
🔑 The ASEAN Railway Conference 2026, happening on June 18–19, will showcase Mr. Roesner’s expertise built over 29 years of professional experience, including more than 16 years at ADB. His career spans leadership in railway and transport projects across South Asia and Southeast Asia, with a strong focus on sustainability and resilience. 🚆💼
🎓 He holds a Master’s in Transportation Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, grounding his expertise in both technical innovation and strategic project management. 📖⚙️
💡 Since joining ADB in 2008, Mr. Roesner has managed railway and road projects in Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka. In Southeast Asia, he led two flagship projects in the Philippines - the Malolos–Clark Railway Project and the South Commuter Railway Project, both vital sections of the North–South Commuter Railway System. 🚄
🌐 In June 2023, he was appointed Director for Railway and Logistics in ADB’s Transport Sector Office, overseeing projects in railways, metros, ports, maritime shipping, inland waterways, and aviation across Asia. His leadership reflects a commitment to building transport systems that are sustainable, resilient, and responsive to future challenges. 🌍✨
