Last May 9, 2026, the Speech-Language Pathology Department of Cebu Doctorsโ University initiated Project Litok together with the Respiratory Therapy Department Year 4 students and clinical instructors.
The team took part in the program by providing asthma education and performing Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR) assessments to help promote respiratory health awareness in the community.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and lung cancer remain among the leading causes of illness and death worldwide, affecting millions and often going undiagnosed until advanced stages. Both diseases remind us of the importance of early detection, smoking cessation, and respiratory health education in saving lives.
