The Opao Elementary School family joyfully celebrated the Teachers’ Christmas Party 2025 as a heartfelt tribute to the dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment of our teachers and staff throughout the year. The event was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, fun-filled games, and an exciting raffle with wonderful prizes that brought happiness and excitement to everyone present.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to our School Head, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐢𝐚 𝐌. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐟𝐨, for her constant guidance, leadership, and support, which made this memorable celebration possible. (𝙋𝙐𝙉𝙇𝘼), represented by 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙈𝙨𝙜𝙧. 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙤 𝘿. 𝙏𝙖𝙟𝙖𝙣𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙩, 𝙃𝙋, for the 𝙉𝘽𝙌–𝙋𝙐𝙉𝙇𝘼 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙪𝙗𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 on December 13, 2025.

Through this partnership, PUNLA will provide educational support to deserving Grade 4–6 learners, while Opao Elementary School will monitor their academic performance. This collaboration underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to promote student growth, well-being, and academic success.

Opao Elementary School hosted the Midyear Implementation Review of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) SY 2025–2026 and a Benchmarking Activity on Central Kitchen Training Center Operations on December 10, 2025, with the presence of Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, 𝘿𝙧. 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙤 𝙂. 𝙂𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙖𝙤.

The activity gathered school heads, nutrition coordinators, administrative officers II, and program development officers to assess implementation, share best practices, and strengthen central kitchen operations, reaffirming the commitment to learners’ nutrition, well-being, and holistic development.

Thank you to Mayor Jonkie Ouano and the City Government of Mandaue for the year-end Christmas gift. The ham, chorizo, and longganisa brought happiness to our teachers and made this season truly special.

Opao Elementary School joined the nationwide 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women on December 11, 2025. Together with our stakeholders, parents, teachers, and learners, the school held an advocacy seminar highlighting the importance of protecting women and children from all forms of violence.

Our school head, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐢𝐚 𝐌. 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐟𝐨, delivered meaningful welcome remarks, followed by an informative discussion on VAWC prevention by resource speaker 𝐌𝐫𝐬. 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐈. 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠. Participants also took part in an open forum and pledged their commitment to support a VAW-free community.

𝑶𝒑𝒂𝒐 𝑬𝑺 firmly stands for safety, respect, and empowerment for all.

The “Munting Hiling” program by Zenith Foods Corporation and Jollibee Food Group on December 9, 2025, brought joy and hope to our selected Kindergarten to Grade 6 learners. With the support of our school head, 𝘿𝙧. 𝙍𝙞𝙖 𝙈. 𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙛𝙤, and dedicated teachers, every child felt valued and celebrated. This event showed how simple acts of kindness create lasting memories, inspiring our learners to dream big and feel cared for. ❤️

The event was warmly welcomed by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑹𝒊𝒂 𝑴. 𝑽𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒇𝒐, the school’s dynamic principal, whose unwavering commitment to excellence continues to inspire both teachers and learners.

In honor of Children’s Month with the theme, “OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!”, our dedicated and inspiring principal, Dr. Ria M. Vertulfo, guided the school in a joyful feeding program and interactive trivia session for the learners. The feeding was organized by grade level, making sure every child received healthy meals safely and comfortably. Students eagerly joined the trivia, showcasing their knowledge while learning about children’s rights, health, and safety.

👏 Heartfelt thanks to our teachers and parents for making this celebration meaningful and full of fun. Together, we continue to protect, empower, and uplift every child in our school!
