As of 2:00 AM today, 23 May 2026, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 05d) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is "UNLIKELY" to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, another Low Pressure Area (LPA 05e) is being monitored outside the PAR and has a "LOW" chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

RED ALERT RAISED IN VISAYAS GRID
BREAKING NEWS: The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has issued a Red Alert in the Visayas Grid, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A red alert status is issued when power supply is insufficient to meet consumer demand and the transmission grid’s regulating requirement.
Also, rotational brownouts may be expected. Forced outages of three units, failure to import energy from Luzon and high-system demand were cited as factors. | via Morexette Marie B. Erram

As of 8:00 PM today, 12 May 2026, a Low Pressure Area (LPA 05b) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is "UNLIKELY" to redevelop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 05c) being monitored outside the PAR has dissipated.
