Si 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹 ay kilala bilang isang henyo, isang ilustrado, at walang dudang simbolo ng nasyonalismo ng Pilipinas. Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang mga akda, nagising ang kamalayan ng isang bayan, nabuo ang diwa ng paglaban, at natutong magtanong ang mga Pilipino kung ano ang tunay na kahulugan ng kalayaan.

Ngunit sa likod ng matalas niyang isipan at matapang na paninindigan, si Rizal ay hindi lamang isang pangalan sa pahina ng kasaysayan. Hindi lang siya litrato sa pera, o rebulto sa gitna ng plaza. Siya rin ay di hamak na isang tao—may damdamin, may kahinaan, at marunong magmahal.

Ang pag-ibig ni Rizal ay isa sa mga kwentong bihirang mabanggit sa loob ng kwadradong silid na ating tinatawag na silid-aralan. Pero paano kung ang mga pag-ibig na ito ay hindi lang basta kilig at tsismis ng kasaysayan? Ito ba ay may malaking ambag sa paghubog ng buhay at henyo ni Rizal?
