University of Perpetual Help System Manila - Senior High

Opening of Classes for Grade 11 students of the University of Perpetual Help System - Manila has officially started today, June 22, 2026.

Students got to meet their advisers and subject teachers who will guide them throughout the school year—as well as get a gist of the subjects, their contents, and basic classroom rules as provided by the teachers.

Furthermore, the students got to know the different traits and personalities of their classmates, with whom they will spend the academic year.

The University of Perpetual Help System Manila Senior High successfully participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, June 18, 2026, at 9:00 AM.

Taking the lead in this vital safety initiative, the Senior High School Supreme Student Council (SHS-SSC), together with the SHS faculty and administration, spearheaded the organization and ex*****on of the drill. Guiding students safely to their designated assembly areas, the SHS-SSC ensured that the entire student body remained informed, orderly, and prepared for emergency situations.

| UPHSM Makes Remarkable DSPC Debut, Secures Top 15 Overall Ranking

University of Perpetual Help System Manila – Senior High School Department (UPHSM-SHS) made an impressive debut in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026, earning a Top 15 Overall Ranking among 46 participating schools.

The school's Filipino publication, Ang Bughaw, earned a Top 15 Overall Ranking in the Filipino Category, highlighted by a Top 12 finish in the School Paper Category and a Top 19 placement in the Individual Category.

Meanwhile, The Nexus, the official English publication, also secured a Top 15 Overall Ranking in the English Category. The publication further excelled with a Top 9 finish in the English Group Category, Top 15 in the School Paper Category, and Top 19 in the Individual Category.

The milestone was made possible through the leadership of former Editors-in-Chief Rhitizsha Herrera of The Nexus and Rhianna Sarmiento of Ang Bughaw, whose dedication helped establish a strong foundation for the publications.

As UPHSM celebrates this historic achievement, both publications are now searching for new staff members in preparation for the upcoming DSPC this September.

| Senior High School Kickoff for Grade 11 Tech Pro and BEP has now officially begun today. New Perpetualite students were welcomed and oriented on the school’s rules and regulations.
