The NSTP Sector successfully conducted its 23rd NSTP Day - Culminating Activity on 17 May 2026, marking the completion of the National Service Training Program activities for the two semesters. The program formally opened with an invocation, followed by the mass singing of the National Anthem and the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, instilling patriotism, unity, and discipline among the students, trainers, and guests.
During the opening program, the NSTP Director delivered his welcome remarks, highlighting the major accomplishments and significant activities conducted during SY 2025–2026. He emphasized the importance of the NSTP in shaping students’ values, particularly in the areas of discipline, leadership, patience, volunteerism, and patriotism, encouraging the students to apply these principles in their daily lives and future endeavors.
Following the opening ceremony, the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Councilor Jeff Lau, delivered an inspirational message that motivated the students to continue serving their communities with dedication and integrity. The program was further enlivened by an intermission number presented by the NSRC Volunteers, showcasing the talents and camaraderie of the volunteers.
After the formal program, the students participated in various recreational and competitive activities prepared by the NSTP Sector. The participants voluntarily joined events such as Tug of War, Spoken Poetry, Giant Volleybal, Mr. and Ms. NSTP, Mobile Legends Competition, and the NSTP Skills Olympics, which promoted teamwork, creativity, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among the students.
Simultaneously, the ROTC Component conducted the 2nd ROTC Expo and Innovation Program at the IRTC Conference Hall. The activity was graced by the Commander of the Reserve Command Philippine Amy – MGEN RONALD JESS ALCUDIA PA and the Commanding General of the Philippine Army – LTGEN ANTONIO G NAFARRETE, represented by the Vice Commander Philippine Army – MGEN EFREN F MORADOS PA . Research studies and innovative projects from the College of Engineering were showcased and displayed at the TUP Covered Court, highlighting the students’ creativity, technical skills, and contributions to innovation and national development. The top three outstanding entries were selected and awarded cash prizes and souvenir mugs, which were also distributed to participants. A boodle fight was conducted at Court B, allowing students, trainers, and guests to share a communal meal that strengthened fellowship and unity within the NSTP community.
In the afternoon, the awarding ceremony for the winners of the various competitions and activities in the NSTP Day was held to recognize the participants’ outstanding performances and contributions throughout the culminating activity.
To conclude the day’s events, the ROTC Component also conducted its Closing Ceremony for the course, formally recognizing the efforts, discipline, and achievements of the cadets during the training period.

Last May 13–15, 2026, selected NSTP implementers from the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) participated in the 20th National Congress of NSTP Educators and Implementers held at the Grand Astoria Hotel. The three-day activity gathered NSTP management personnel, coordinators, and implementers from various schools and universities nationwide, serving as a venue for collaboration, professional growth, and the exchange of best practices in the implementation of the National Service Training Program. The congress featured a series of lectures, discussions, and presentations focusing on leadership, youth development, community engagement, and the evolving role of NSTP in nation-building.

One of the highlights of the congress was the participation of the TUP President, Engr. Reynaldo P. Ramos as one of the distinguished speakers. During his presentation, he emphasized the importance of NSTP in the digital era, highlighting the need for innovation, adaptability, and the integration of technology in delivering responsive and relevant NSTP programs to the youth. He also delivered his message of goodwill, inspiring the participants to remain committed to producing responsible, service-oriented, and resilient future leaders. The active participation of the TUP NSTP implementers in the congress further strengthened the university’s commitment to excellence and continuous development in NSTP implementation.

The NSTP Sector successfully conducted its Training Day on 10 May 2026 as part of the continuing implementation of the National Service Training Program for the semester. The activity formally opened with an invocation, followed by the mass singing of the National Anthem and the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, promoting patriotism, discipline, and unity among the students and trainers.
After the opening program, students from the CWTS and LTS components proceeded to their respective areas of assignment for the conduct of their community immersion activities in partner communities. The immersion activities aimed to strengthen students’ sense of civic responsibility, volunteerism, and community engagement through active participation in service-oriented programs.
Meanwhile, the ROTC component underwent its Annual Regional Administrative Inspection, which evaluated the unit’s administrative records, organization, discipline, and compliance with ROTC policies and standards. At the same time, selected CWTS and LTS students participated in the Pre-Mobilization Training held at TUP Cavite, where they were oriented and trained on preparedness, teamwork, and essential skills relevant to community service and emergency response activities.

The NSTP Sector successfully took charge of the TUP Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony on 04 May 2026, ensuring the orderly conduct of the weekly university tradition. The program formally opened with an invocation, followed by the mass singing of the National Anthem, Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas, and the Kawani ng Gobyerno, reinforcing patriotism, unity, and commitment to public service among the university community.

In lieu of the usual inspirational message, NSTP Director Prof. Reggie C. Campomanes and Prof. Izhar Dantes delivered practical fire safety tips and conducted a brief demonstration on the proper use of a fire extinguisher, promoting awareness and preparedness in emergency situations. The ceremony was further enlivened by an intermission number performed by the NSTP trainers and selected members of the Corps of Lady Sponsors, fostering camaraderie and morale among participants.

Thereafter, several faculty members shared special announcements relevant to university activities and reminders. The program concluded with the mass singing of “Bagong Pilipinas” and the TUP Hymn, marking a meaningful and safety-oriented flag ceremony led by the NSTP Sector.

The NSTP Sector successfully conducted its Normal Training Day on 03 May 2026 as part of the continuing implementation of the National Service Training Program for the semester. The program formally opened with an invocation, followed by the mass singing of the National Anthem and the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, reinforcing unity, discipline, and patriotism among the NSTP students and trainers.
During the opening program, the NSTP Director delivered a message emphasizing proper attitude and behavior during the first day of community immersion for the CWTS and LTS components in selected barangays near TUP Manila. The Director reminded the students to observe respect, professionalism, cooperation, and adherence to community guidelines, as they represent the university while engaging with partner barangays. For the ROTC component, the Director likewise encouraged cadets to consistently comply with and adhere to the established policies and standards of the ROTC program to maintain discipline and readiness.
After the program, the CWTS and LTS students proceeded to their respective community immersion areas of assignment to carry out their scheduled activities and complete the required immersion hours. The successful conduct of the training day reflected the NSTP Sector’s commitment to organized implementation, values formation, and meaningful community engagement.

The NSTP Sector successfully conducted its Normal Training Day on 26 April 2026 as part of the continuing implementation of the National Service Training Program for the semester. The program formally opened with an invocation, followed by the mass singing of the National Anthem and the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, reinforcing patriotism, unity, and discipline among the students and trainers.
During the opening program, the NSTP Director delivered a message to all students regarding the scheduled midterm activities for the CWTS and LTS components, specifically the film showing of “Sa Isang Iglap” and the alternative role-playing activity aimed at strengthening awareness on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM). For the ROTC component, the Director also emphasized the continued preparations for the upcoming Annual Regional Tactical Inspection, reminding cadets to maintain discipline and readiness in compliance with training standards.
After the program, CWTS and LTS students proceeded to SM Manila to watch the film “Sa Isang Iglap” as part of their learning activity. In the afternoon, selected students opted to complete their midterm requirement through role-playing activities focused on DRRM awareness and preparedness. These activities were properly facilitated and supervised by their respective faculty members and trainers, ensuring orderly implementation and meaningful student engagement.

The NSTP Sector successfully conducted an online training session for the three components—ROTC, CWTS, and LTS—on 12 April 2026 as part of the continuing implementation of the National Service Training Program for the semester.
During the session, each component carried out its scheduled activities and learning tasks in accordance with its approved syllabus, ensuring continuity of instruction and consistent progress toward program outcomes. The online modality also enabled students and trainers to effectively proceed with discussions, submissions, and other course requirements aligned with their respective curricula.

On 19 April 2026, face to face training conducted as part of the continuing implementation of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) for the semester. The activity formally opened with an invocation, followed by the mass singing of the National Anthem and the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, fostering patriotism, unity, and discipline among the students and trainers.
During the opening program, the NSTP Director delivered a message emphasizing the guidelines and preparations for the community immersion of the CWTS and LTS components, reminding students to observe proper conduct, active participation, and documentation of activities. The Director also informed the ROTC cadets of their continuing preparations for the upcoming Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI), encouraging them to maintain discipline and readiness in accordance with ROTC standards.
After the program, all female NSTP students were separated and assembled at the TUP Covered Court for a seminar entitled “Period Positive Project: Educate, Empower, Embrace – Empowering Women through Menstrual Health Awareness and Environmental Support.” The seminar was led by the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) and focused on promoting menstrual health awareness while reinforcing environmental support and women’s empowerment. The activity provided students with valuable knowledge and encouraged informed, confident, and responsible practices related to menstrual health.
Meanwhile, the CWTS and LTS components proceeded to their respective areas of responsibility to conduct their school-based community immersion. Each cluster was assigned a designated area for cleaning and maintenance, allowing students to contribute to campus improvement through organized service activities.

On 15 February 2026, the NSTP Sector successfully conducted its Training Day, highlighting the continuous development of discipline, leadership, and preparedness among NSTP students and volunteers. The activity formally began with an invocation, followed by the mass singing of the national anthem, setting a respectful and organized tone for the day’s training.
During the opening program, the NSTP Director delivered important reminders to the students, emphasizing the need for the timely submission of class requirements and the value of punctual attendance during training sessions. The Director underscored that compliance and discipline are essential in ensuring the smooth implementation of NSTP activities and in building the students’ sense of responsibility and commitment to service.
After the program, the students proceeded to their designated training areas to continue with their respective component activities. A key highlight of the day was the election of the Overall NSRC Cluster Volunteers officers, which was facilitated by the NSTP Director. This activity aimed to strengthen the organizational structure of the NSTP by selecting student leaders who will guide and coordinate volunteer initiatives under the clusters of MakaDiyos, Makakalikasan, Mapagkalinga, Mapagkawanggawa, Makabansa, and Makatao. The election promoted leadership formation, teamwork, and active participation among student volunteers.
In addition, the NSRC Volunteers engaged in martial arts activities as part of their skills development and preparedness training. This activity contributed to enhancing their physical fitness, discipline, and self-confidence—qualities that are valuable during emergency response and community engagement activities.
Another major activity conducted was the first NSTP Earthquake Drill held at the TUP Grounds by the morning sessions, aimed at preparing the NSTP community for potential emergencies, particularly the possible “Big One” earthquake scenario. The drill was successfully implemented through the assistance and coordination of the TUP Security Personnel, the TUP Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), and the NSRC Volunteers. Through this drill, students and personnel were able to practice proper safety procedures, evacuation protocols, and coordinated response measures, reinforcing the university’s commitment to disaster preparedness and campus safety.
