is one of the most powerful pathways for refugees. It opens doors to hope and opportunities to build a better future.

On , UNESCO reaffirms that every refugee has the right to learn, no matter where they are.

In emergencies, UNESCO works to keep schools open, support teachers and ensure displaced learners can continue their education. We help expand access to learning and employment opportunities, support the recognition of prior learning and qualifications, and work with governments and communities to include refugees in national education systems.

Let us turn the promise of education into action for every displaced learner. Because when refugees learn, communities grow stronger.

Human rights are for everyone, everywhere. No one should be treated unfairly because of who they are or whom they love.

June’s Pride Month is an opportunity to stand up for the equal rights and fair treatment of LGBTIQ+ people everywhere.

Cities can foster community cohesion, diversify their local economies, and reinforce their resilience and inclusivity by tapping into the power of culture and creativity.

However, cities and local communities are currently facing challenges such as rapid urban transformation, rising housing costs and shifting investment trends.

At the 13th World Urban Forum, UNESCO and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan convened city leaders, cultural institutions, and UN experts from UNESCO Creative Cities to share practical experiences and urban solutions. These included creative hubs, participatory planning processes, culture-based regeneration models, and innovative approaches.

By placing culture and creativity at the heart of housing and regeneration strategies, cities can create a more sustainable and inclusive future where local creative communities actively shape urban spaces.

Culture shapes how we see the world and how we connect with one another.

On the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, we mark the richness of our many identities, traditions and ways of life. Cultural diversity is a force for dialogue, mutual understanding and sustainable development.

In a world facing growing divisions, intercultural dialogue helps build bridges where differences could become barriers. Diversity strengthens societies, fuels creativity and reminds us that development can only be truly sustainable when everyone has a place and a voice.

UNESCO helps turn this vision into action by creating spaces where dialogue and cultural exchange can thrive. From promoting intercultural dialogue and strengthening cultural expressions to advancing creativity and connecting communities worldwide through initiatives such as the e-Platform on Intercultural Dialogue and the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, the Organization works to build more inclusive societies.
