‎The University Student Government of TUP Manila celebrates today's national holiday, Independence Day or Araw ng Kalayaan, alongside the rest of our country and the TUP community.

‎Each year, Independence Day is celebrated on the 12th of June, commemorating the declaration of the Philippine's independence from Spanish colonial rule in 1898.

‎May every TUPian remember to embody the traits of unity and patriotism as we pay our tribute to all the brave souls who worked hard for the sake of our freedom.

‎ID validation activities for the month of july will be conducted at the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟰:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠. Meanwhile, activities for the month of august will be held at the 𝗖𝗢𝗦-𝗖𝗠𝗠𝗦 𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗯𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟯:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠.

‎The students from all year levels are advised to wait for updates regarding the release of all 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗢𝗥). Moreover, please be reminded to bring and present the 𝗖𝗢𝗥 and to 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆. Meanwhile, the students scheduled for ID creation and validation 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗨𝗣 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺. ‎The University Student Government of TUP Manila, through TUP CARES, has officially opened a sensing form to be able to assess the needs of the students who were severely affected by the recent fire incident in Parola Compound, Binondo, Manila.

‎This initiative aims to help identify the concerns and necessary support needed by the affected students. All information gathered through this form will be used solely for relief, support, and coordination purposes by the University Student Government and authorized university offices.

‎As students, let us all exercise our rights to vote and take part in choosing the right leaders who will represent the entire student body well. Every vote counts; hence, we play a vital role in making sure that student leadership is strengthened. Therefore, 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀:

‎‣ Students are encouraged to cast their votes from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. All sections are advised to participate within the designated schedule to ensure maximum voter turnout.

‎‣ The official platforms for the election shall be through Microsoft Forms. Students must use their official TUP email accounts in order to access the e-ballots and participate in the voting process. There shall also be designated college e-precincts for each college. For students participating in on-site voting, designated polling areas shall be available.

The Technological University of the Philippines community is formally invited to the 2026 Miting de Avance, the definitive assembly for student leadership and democratic discourse.

This event serves as the official platform for candidates vying for positions within the University Student Government (USG) to present their comprehensive manifestos and engage in rigorous policy discussion.

Every TUPian is encouraged to attend, as this session provides the essential insight required to make a well-informed decision for the university's future.
