This serves as a reflection of the dedication, participation, and commitment of our student representatives in upholding student-led legislation and governance throughout the term.

𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 | The Philippine Normal University – University Student Council, through its Eighth Student Assembly, proudly announces the passage of Student Council Act No. 24, entitled:

β€œPNU CAMPUS ANIMAL WELFARE AND CO-EXISTENCE POLICY.”

Authored and introduced by the PNU Pet Advocacy and Welfare Society through Arvin C. Valdez, Education and Research Committee Head, and Deasyry Ann A. Landesa, Education and Research Assistant Committee Head, with the participation of SuFria Karthe L. Shapit, Kristina Marie M. Rallos, Chelsea B. ValeΓ±a, Menaika Lujille A. Cariaga, and Chloie Shanelle E. Salo

In coordination with Hanson Luis V. Sison, president; Cristine D. Samoray, vice president; Joemerly M. Hular, Marketing and promotions committee head; Hannah Amiel S. Romero, Logistics and operations committee head; and Angeli Cassandra V. Valguna, Marketing and Promotions Assistant Committee Head

𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 | Student Assembly Update: PNU Animal Welfare & Campus Co-existence Policy
We are moving forward! Here is a recap of the legislative progress for the PNU Animal Welfare and Campus Co-existence Policy for Fiscal Year 2026. This policy was formally authored and passed by PNU PAWS to the Student Assembly for official adoption.

Timeline of Progress

March 25, 2026 | Referral to Committee
The session officially referred the policy to the Student Organization and Accreditation Committee (SOACOM) for specialized review.

April 9, 2026 | Initial First Reading
SOACOM, in collaboration with PNU PAWS and facilitated by Chairperson Hon. Irish Jian Calubag, conducted the initial first reading. The session was adjourned to allow members to refine and revise specific amendments.

April 22, 2026 | Continuation & Approval
The first reading resumed. After thorough deliberation, the members officially passed the measure to proceed to the 2nd and 3rd readings.
