In line with the government’s continuing efforts to promote disaster preparedness and resilience, the Institute actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held today, June 18, 2026.

The drill commenced with the sounding of the earthquake alarm, prompting participants to perform the standard “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure before proceeding to designated evacuation areas in an orderly and disciplined manner. Emergency response teams and designated safety officers were likewise mobilized to facilitate the smooth conduct of the exercise and ensure compliance with established safety protocols.

The successful conduct of the drill was made possible through the support of the EARIST Administration under the leadership of President Dr. Rogelio T. Mamaradlo and the efforts of the EARIST Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (EDRRMO), headed by Dr. Giovanni L. Ahunin, which spearheaded the planning, coordination, and implementation of the activity.

EARIST continues to strengthen its emergency preparedness measures and promote a culture of safety and resilience among members of the academic community.

On that day, Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso will deliver his State of the City Address (SOCA) at the Quirino Grandstand.

The SOCA marks the first year of his administration under “Bilis Kilos 2.0.”

The proclamation declaring the non-working day was signed by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto by authority of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

It cited the need to give the people of Manila full opportunity to participate in and enjoy the celebration.

The special non-working day gives Manileños the opportunity to mark the occasion as their city celebrates its 455th year.

In line with its commitment to academic excellence and internationalization, the Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST), through the Graduate School and the College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA), successfully conducted the international academic talk titled “Managerial Decision Making in the Age of Data” on June 11, 2026, at the Graduate School Room 2, EARIST Manila.

The forum featured Dr. Pooja Nanda, a visiting professor from Amity University, who shared valuable insights on data-driven decision-making, innovation, and leadership in today’s dynamic business environment.

Facilitated by the collaborative efforts of the Graduate School, CBPA, and International Affairs and Linkages Management Services (IALMS), the activity contributes to EARIST’s ongoing initiatives to advance international academic collaboration, strengthen research-oriented learning, and promote knowledge exchange across institutional and national boundaries.

The successful conduct of the forum underscores EARIST’s dedication to cultivating globally engaged scholars and professionals while reinforcing its role as a dynamic institution committed to innovation, research, and quality higher education.

SAS Memorandum Order No. 008-2026 prohibits the conduct of all on-campus and off-campus student activities during the semestral break from June 15, 2026 to August 9, 2026. Requests for student activities within the said period shall not be accepted.

𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞
Only students with official business shall be allowed entry to the campus during the semestral break, including:
• Requesting, claiming, and submission of academic and administrative documents;
• Submission of requirements for the Institutional Student Recognition;
• Release and claiming of graduation toga;
• Settlement of academic obligations; and
• Submission of the Final Accomplishment Report and Annual

Financial Report of recognized student organizations.
Students entering the Institute for college accreditation activities or official business of the ISG and EFSC must secure the necessary endorsements and approvals.

All students allowed entry shall observe the existing Interim Guidelines on Grooming and Uniform Policy, wear proper civilian attire, and present their valid school identification cards.
This Memorandum shall take effect from June 15, 2026 to August 9, 2026.

The Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) strengthened its commitment to digital innovation and institutional modernization through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with GCash, underscoring a shared vision to advance digital transformation, financial inclusion, and operational efficiency within the academic sector.

The ceremonial program opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Jesus S. Pagguigan, Executive Vice President of EARIST, followed by the keynote address of Ms. Charrie Myn Alano, Vice President and Head of Integrated Ecosystem Partnerships.

Reaffirming EARIST’s institutional commitment to innovation and modernization, Dr. Rogelio T. Mamaradlo, President of EARIST, delivered a message underscoring the importance of strategic partnerships in enhancing academic systems and services. The program concluded with the closing remarks of Dr. Yolanda A. Lara, Vice President for Administration and Finance.

The highlight of the event was the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between EARIST and GCash, formally solidifying the partnership.

This partnership marks another milestone in EARIST’s continuing efforts to adopt innovative digital solutions that enhance institutional operations and service delivery.
