Bridging the gap between academe and industry, the PNU Career Fair 2026 successfully convened top educational institutions, corporate partners, and government agencies on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Edilberto P. Dagot Hall to prepare graduating seniors for their professional journeys. The event was organized by the Student Affairs and Services Office, in collaboration with the Seniors’ Committee.

The event began with the opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Dr. Merimee U. Tampus-Siena, Director of SASO, formally welcomed the attendees, guests, and partner companies. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the university’s unwavering commitment to holistic student development, including enhancing students’ job readiness and career development. Meanwhile, Dr. Leah Amor S. Cortez, Vice President for Student Success and Stakeholder Services, delivered an empowering welcome message for the graduating batch, reminding them of the importance of career exploration and discernment.

The event gained further momentum with an inspiring message from Mr. John Hiroshi F. Umeda, Jr., the Acting Manager of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) City of Manila. Mr. Umeda emphasized the vital role of public-private-academic collaborations in building a resilient workforce and reminded the students that success is not solely based on competencies and knowledge but, most importantly, on positive work values and character.

The career fair featured a wide array of participating organizations ready to support the students' transition into the workforce. Participating government agencies included SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and PESO. The event also hosted numerous partner schools and employers actively seeking new talent, such as La Trinidad Academy, Quezon City Christian Academy, Southville International School and Colleges, Chiang Kai Shek College, La Salle College Antipolo, Grace Christian College, Inc., St. Andrew’s School, Inc., Marymount School of Quezon City, Inc., Lasal Tech Academy, Inc., Acts Achi & Ahia, Inc., Atheneum School, and Infant Jesus Academy.

Furthermore, several institutions offered diverse avenues for growth beyond immediate employment. For those interested in continuing education, Leap-Geebee Education presented study abroad opportunities, while the PNU Admissions Office showcased graduate-level programs. Financial literacy was championed by AIA Philippines, the BPI Ermita Branch, and FWD Life Insurance – Stellar One Life Insurance Agency. Additionally, Mary Kay provided personal wellness and professional image consultations, while the Acts of Love Community highlighted avenues for personal advocacy and socio-civic responsibility.

By bridging the gap between career readiness and community service, the event ensured that the PNU Class of 2026 steps into the workforce not just to achieve personal success but to actively transform and uplift the nation.
