In case you missed it ๐
The Society of Musicians held its very first outreach at the Missionaries of the Poor, San Andres at May 9, 2026. Guided by the College Outreach Center staff, Ms. Joy Castroรฑero and Ms. Wenggay Salvador, selected members and the moderator of the organization visited the residents of the Missionaries of the Poor and spent time with them playing games and music, bringing joy and laughter to their home.
This project was made possible through funds incurred by the Valentine's Serenade project, headed by Chino Lenis last February 12, 2026.
The program and logistics were prepared by project heads Margaret Gabuyo and Celin Peรฑanueva, with the former hosting the event along with Society of Musicians' member, Benedict Ardy de Leon. Society of Musicians members' Ginger Karganilla and John Michael Breciรฑo also performed various songs such as the Greatest Love of All by Whtiney Houston and Sway by Frank Sinatra respectively for the residents to enjoy.
The organization also brought physical and financial donations so the brothers can continue their service for the community.
That in all things, God be glorified!

"Without education and liberty, which are the soil and the sun of man, no reform is possible, no measure can give the result desired."
- Jose Rizal
We, the members of Society of Musicians, along with the Communication Society, Interior Design Youth Alliance, Psychology Society, Society of Musicians and the Scholastican of Scholastica's College, Manila, stand against the reforms proposed by CHED to reduce and condense General Education subjects from the College curriculum.
In an already unstable political climate, this reform seeks to remove subjects that enriches critical and humanistic education, focusing on creating labor-ready workers rather than creating active and responsible leaders and members of a democracy.
As Scholasticans, we stand for humanistic education that aims to create agents of change for a more egalitarian society that values truth, justice, and compassion.
