On this day in 1898, the Philippine flag was first unfurled in Kawit, Cavite, marking the birth of the first republic in Asia. We honor the heroes who fought for our right to chart our own destiny.

📣 HELP MINDANAO RECOVER FROM THE EARTHQUAKE 🌏

The De La Salle Brothers Inc. has partnered with the Diocese of Marbel - Social Action Center to launch Operation Uplift, which is dedicated to bringing immediate aid, hope, and recovery to the affected communities.

The Diocese of Marbel encompasses General Santos City, South Cotabato, and Sarangani, which are the closest to the epicenter of the magnitude 7.8 earthquake.

On 30 May 2026, MEDIA MAX Benilde held this year’s Art Kits for Arts Kids.

The initiative aims to instill in children the significance of art by using the guidance of the Benildean Core Values, which will help them in their overall development by enhancing their imagination, creativity, and critical and creative thinking abilities.

WEEK 3 RECAP 📱

On 23 May 2026, the School of New Media Arts-Benilde Multimedia Arts hosted a social media content creation workshop.

The activity is an hands-on training on how to use free online tools like Canva, CapCut, Google Docs, and Grammarly to edit and produce advocacy materials such as posters, videos, and social media content.

WEEK 3 RECAP 🖼️

On 23 May 2026, the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD) conducted a mosaic workshop.

Facilitated by Tey Ihvonie Maravilla Sevilleno, the workshop enabled the participants to rediscover the joy of working with their hands to make visible what their imagination has conceived, using materials that are easily available, inexpensive and can be reused or recycled.

On 22 May 2026, the Benilde School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management - SHRIM through the World-class Hoteliers In Progress (WHIP) conducted a beverage art workshop.

This activity highlights creativity and practical skills involved in beverage art, through a tutorial on basic mixology on how to create basic bar drinks.

WEEK 3 RECAP 🍱🍴

On 21 May 2026, the Benilde School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management - SHRIM and Chefs in Progress (CHIP) held “Food Art: Bento Box Making” at Salle de Cuisine, AKIC Campus.

The workshop is a creative, hands-on activity where participants designed visually appealing and well-balanced lunch boxes. Combining culinary skills with artisitic expression, the session taught food presentation and portioning of nutritious ingredients.
