The College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management proudly represented 𝗟𝘆𝗰𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 at the culminating event of 𝗛𝗢𝗚 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a celebration that goes beyond culinary excellence and serves as a platform for advocating and supporting the local Philippine hog industry.

Inspired by the success of previous Hog Festivals, this year's event highlighted the importance of sustainability, local livelihood, food sovereignty, food security, and cultural identity. It underscored the vital role of Filipino hog raisers and farmers whose dedication continues to sustain communities and contribute to the nation's economy.

As future culinary and hospitality professionals, the team joined fellow participants in celebrating Filipino cuisine through creativity, innovation, and technical excellence while championing the use of locally produced pork and supporting Filipino farmers.

More than a competition, HOG Festival 2026 served as a reminder that every choice to support locally produced pork strengthens the livelihood of Filipino farmers, backyard raisers, workers, and rural communities. As the next generation of culinary professionals, our students proudly answered the call to preserve, promote, and celebrate Filipino food heritage.

The College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) of Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of two of its graduates, 𝗠𝗰𝗟𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗼 of The Westin Manila and 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 of Manila Marriott Hotel, who emerged victorious in the 𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀).

Their outstanding performance and commitment to excellence in sustainable bartending have earned them the honor of advancing to the highly anticipated South Korea–Vietnam–Philippines (SKVP) Area Rising Star Sustainable Bartender Competition, which will be held in Vietnam this July.

As national champions, McLeeden and Alexander will proudly represent the Philippines on the international stage, competing against some of the most talented sustainable bartenders from across the SKVP region. Their achievement reflects not only their dedication and passion for the hospitality industry but also the quality education and industry-driven training provided by CITHM-LPU Manila.

Moving Up! Manila Marriott Hotel celebrates an incredible milestone for our bar team following the Marriott International APEC Sustainable Bartender Championship. Alex Feliciano delivered a masterclass in creativity and sustainable mixology. His victory secures his advancement to the highly anticipated South-Korea-Vietnam-Philippines (SKVP) Area Rising Star Sustainable Bartender Competition which will be held in Vietnam in July, where he will represent Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts on an even larger stage.

His success is shared by Mar Manapol and Seve Diciano, whose remarkable skills and artistry as finalists proved their place among the best talents in Marriott International - Philippines. Their collective dedication to innovative craft continues to set a high standard for our guest experience.
