This morning, the Department of Communication and key DLSU representatives gathered for the blessing of our newly completed labs, studios, and viewing room at St. Mutien Marie Hall.

We are grateful and excited to begin moving more of our classes into these state-of-the-art facilities, which will provide our students with learning environments that reflect contemporary industry standards and support excellence.

These new spaces are an important investment in the future of our students, giving them greater access to hands-on learning, collaboration, and production opportunities.

We look forward to seeing the outstanding work that will emerge from these facilities in the years ahead.

โ€œBe the Safe Space: Building Affirming Lasallian Communities for Every Identityโ€

3:00 PM โ€“ 4:30 PM
Via Zoom

Resource Speaker:
Ms. Remedios C. Moog, RGC, RPm, CSCOP
University Counselor and LGBTQI+ Anchor Counselor

In celebration of Pride Month, this webinar aims to promote inclusive and affirming spaces within the Lasallian community while equipping students with practical knowledge and skills to support diverse identities. Participants will explore LGBTQIA+ identities through the SOGIESC framework and gain a deeper understanding of how everyday interactions can influence experiences of inclusion, belonging, stigma, and minority stress.

The session will also introduce the P.R.I.D.E. A.C.T. Toolkit, a practical framework inspired by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and PERMA well-being, designed to help students move from awareness to intentional action. Through reflection and real-life applications, participants will develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create safer spaces and contribute to a more inclusive and affirming Lasallian community.
