๐ UP MANILA LAUNCHES THE 3RD EDITION OF THE DRRM MANUAL
One of the highlights of the 118th UP Foundation Celebration Kick-Off Program was the launch of the 3rd Edition of the UP Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Manual on June 16, 2026, at the UP Manila Museum of A History of Ideas.
The ceremonial launch was led by Dr. Michael L. Tee, Chancellor of UP Manila, together with Dr. Carlos Primero D. Gundran, Head of the UP Manila DRRM-H Program.
The Third Edition builds on the Universityโs continuing efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness and resilience, following the launch of its first edition in 2013 and second edition in 2019. This latest edition reflects updated approaches and institutional practices in disaster prevention, preparedness, response, recovery, coordination, and risk reduction.
The manual will serve as an essential guide for the UP Manila community, fostering a systematic, coordinated, and health-centered approach to disaster risk reduction and management while reinforcing the Universityโs commitment to protecting lives and building a safer, better-prepared, and more resilient academic and healthcare community.
