Ang kalayaan ay pananagutan. 🇵🇭

Sa paggunita natin sa ika-12 ng Hunyo, nawa’y magsilbi itong paalala na ang kalayaang ipinaglaban ng ating mga ninuno ay hindi dapat gamitin para sa pansariling kapakinabangan, pang-aabuso sa kapangyarihan, o pagtataguyod ng interes ng iilan. Ang tunay na diwa ng kalayaan ay nakaugat sa paglilingkod, pananagutan, at pagsusulong ng kabutihang panlahat.

Patuloy pa rin ang pakikibaka ng maraming Pilipino. Mga pamilyang naghihirap, mga maysakit na nangangailangan ng tulong, at mga mamamayang paulit-ulit na bumabangon mula sa mga sakuna at kalamidad. Dahil dito, malinaw na ang kalayaang minimithi ng ating bayan ay hindi lamang tungkol sa paglaya mula sa dayuhang pananakop, kundi tungkol din sa pagkakaroon ng isang lipunang makatarungan, mahabagin, at tunay na nagsisilbi sa bawat Pilipino.

Nawa’y maging inspirasyon ang kasaysayan ng ating mga bayani upang patuloy nating piliin ang tama kaysa sa pansariling interes, ang katotohanan kaysa sa panlilinlang, at ang kapakanan ng bayan higit sa kapakinabangan ng iilan.

Sapagkat ang tunay na kalayaan ay makakamtan lamang kung walang Pilipinong naiiwan, napapabayaan, o kinakailangang lumaban nang mag-isa.

Mabuhay ang sambayanang Pilipino. Mabuhay ang diwa ng kalayaan.

Ang UP Ortho clinics ay mananatiling bukas. Maaaring makipag-ugnayan sa University of the Philippines Post Graduate Program in Orthodontics o sa inyong clinician para sa concerns o appointments.

LOOK | The UP Dentistry Student Council proudly attended ALAB 2026: Leadership in the Line of Fire, a leadership summit held last May 9–10 at University of the Philippines Manila, led by the UPM University Student Council.

The summit served as a space for student leaders to deepen their understanding of today’s social realities and strengthen their commitment to servant leadership and student representation.

The DSC remains committed to leading with purpose, empathy, and courage in service of the student body.
