๐ Engineering rarely stays within the boundaries of a single disciplineโand neither did this team.
Congratulations to our DLSU Archernauts who proudly represented the university at the Philippine Can Satellite Rocket Competition 2026!
Raphael Murillo, Rudiant Crystoffer Crisostomo, Elijah Anton Manalo, Vincent Carino, Hans Matthew Santiago, Dimitri John Omahoy, and Yasmine El Bsat embraced the challenge of competing in an interdisciplinary aerospace competition. As Mechanical Engineering students, they expanded their skills beyond the traditional classroom, taking on responsibilities spanning project management, rocket fabrication, electronics integration, flight controller development, testing, and launch operationsโultimately turning an ambitious idea into a rocket that successfully launched and flew.
What began as a concept evolved through weeks of brainstorming, fabrication, redesigns, troubleshooting, and countless late-night testing sessions. From developing the rocket body and assembling electronics to refining the flight controller and preparing for launch day, every member contributed to bringing the project from concept to reality.
Special thanks to Faculty Mentors Dr. Isidro Marfori III and Engr. Jeun Barlis for sharing their expertise and guiding the team, particularly in the development of the carbon fiber-based rocket body. We also extend our appreciation to senior team members Tobias De Leon, Luis Lugod, Heisei Mansanadez, Dona Marabe, and Dayvee Montalbo for their guidance and support throughout the project. Finally, we thank Adviser Engr. Timothy Chu and Co-Adviser Engr. Joefreim Delicano for their mentorship and support.
They came to the competition with a dream and left with a story worth telling. May this be just the first of many launches as they continue reaching for the stars. ๐โจ

The Archernauts representing team heads to the Philippine Can Satellite Rocket Competition 2026 in Cebu, hosted by Indiana Aerospace University. ๐
While these five members stand at the forefront of the competition, this milestone was built alongside the efforts of many students, mentors, and supporters behind the scenes who helped make this mission possible.
This is more than a competition.
It is a representation of teamwork, learning, resilience, and the passion to keep building.
Good luck, Archernauts. Aim high and fly well.
