Happy National Heritage Month!
In todayβs , we head to the Tabon Cave Complex in Palawanβa place where heritage goes beyond artifacts. Here, the landscape itself tells the story.
Inside the famous Tabon Cave are ππππππππππ, a rare type of stalactite that grows in unexpected directions. These unusual cave deposits (speleothems) make Tabon not just an archaeological treasure, but a remarkable geological heritage site.
As the cradle of both natural and human history, Tabon Cave stands as a powerful reminder that protecting our heritage means safeguarding both the stories of our ancestors and the ancient natural processes written in the stones.
π₯ Watch the video to discover how these rare anemolites formed and why they make Tabonβs geological heritage so unique.

DOST-PHIVOLCS partnered with Adamson University Mining Engineering and Geology Students Association (AUMEGA) to promote earthquake preparedness and response among Adamsonians held yesterday, March 25 at the College of Engineering grounds.
Students, faculty, and staff tried the earthquake simulator which provides awareness on how a strong ground shaking actually feels. Also, they learned about HazardHunerPH, a website where they can check their locationβs vulnerability to certain natural hazards.
It was a fun and insightful learning experience with you, klasmeyts! Until the next exhibit.
