Under DepEd Order No. 15, s. 2026, the Department of Education has introduced updated Term Examination provisions for all key stages under the Three-Term School Calendar.
π Kindergarten β No Term Examination
π Grades 1β3 β Optional and developmentally appropriate
π Grades 4β6 β 40-item Term Examination
π Grades 7β10 β 50-item Term Examination
π Grades 11β12 β 60-item Term Examination
DepEd also reminds teachers that Summative Tests (STs) should not exceed half of the total number of items prescribed for the corresponding Term Examination.
These changes aim to promote more learner-centered, competency-based, and developmentally appropriate assessment practices in schools.
