A day of gratitude and blessings👨‍🎓

Our Graduating Class and Completers gathered for the Baccalaureate and Thanksgiving Mass 🙏 a beautiful celebration of faith and achievement.

🙏 Special thanks to our Father Priest for conducting the Mass (Naisingit gayud sa full na sked) despite his busy schedule. Your guidance made this milestone even more meaningful.

In accordance with the mandate of the Department of Education to strengthen and enhance disaster preparedness and awareness among learners and teachers, Floro L. Medina Memorial High School actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill conducted on March 12, 2026.

Prior to the conduct of the activity, a coordination meeting was held involving the elected officers of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O). The meeting was attended by the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinator together with the representative of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC), Hon. Jolly L. Delos Reyes, and SK Kagawad and Emergency Response Team (ERT) Member, Joshua Aliman. During the meeting, the participants discussed the guidelines, safety protocols, and their respective roles and responsibilities as first aiders and responders during the drill.

The earthquake drill officially commenced at exactly 3:32 PM and concluded at 3:45 PM. The activity aimed to prepare students, teachers, and school personnel on the proper response during earthquake emergencies, particularly the practice of the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and safe evacuation.
After the activity, a post-drill evaluation meeting was conducted with the elected student leaders and the barangay representatives to assess the conduct of the drill, identify strengths, and determine areas that need improvement for future disaster preparedness activities.

The activity was successfully participated in by students, parents, the School DRRM Coordinator, and all school personnel, demonstrating the school community’s commitment to promoting safety, preparedness, and resilience in times of disaster.

The recently completed 3-Day INSET became a productive and enriching experience because of the dedication and participation of everyone involved. We sincerely thank all the participants for their active engagement and enthusiasm throughout the sessions.☺️
A special mention to our facilitators, Maam Leizel Belibet, Ma'am Emalyn Ortizano Delgado , Ma'am Jinky Bartolay Barruga and Maam Bug-ot Joan (a girl power episode☺️) for this day for generously sharing their expertise, insights, and experiences that truly enriched the learning of our teachers.📚📖
We also commend the Learning and Development Coordinator, Maam Kha Rhen Jhoy who served as the coordinator of this training, for the time, dedication, and effort invested in organizing and ensuring the success of this 3-day activity.👏👏
Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the Program Management Team Sir Ralph Jon Gallego, Sir Michael Aban , Maam Jan Mae Guirnaldo for their hard work behind the scenes to make sure that all activities ran smoothly.😊
