The Student Affairs and Services Division (SASD) informs all interested students that the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) is inviting students from vocational and higher education institutions in China and Southeast Asian countries to participate in the 2026 ChinaโASEAN SEAMEO Creative Merchandise Design Competition.
This international competition aims to provide students with an avenue to showcase creativity, strengthen cross-cultural collaboration, and develop innovative merchandise designs inspired by education, skills, and cultural diversity.
WHO CAN JOIN:
โข Students from vocational and higher education institutions
โข Teams composed of 3โ5 students with 1โ2 instructors
โข Each institution may send a maximum of two (2) teams
โข Collaboration between China and ASEAN institutions is encouraged
COMPETITION THEMES:

The students of Davao de Oro State College Montevista Branch successfully concluded the 2026 College Student Council (CSC) Elections, officially held from May 19, 2026, at 8:00 AM until May 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The election showcased active student participation and democratic engagement among the 971 enrolled students of the campus.
After the official canvassing of votes, FLORDHEN MAY A. DELGADO emerged victorious as the new Local CSC Governor after garnering 653 votes against FRITZEL JOY T. FURNIS with 318 votes.
For the position of Local CSC Vice Governor, JOHN PAUL L. CORBILLA secured the highest number of votes with 409, followed by MARRY ANN O. SUEรO with 347 votes and GABRIEL JR. Y. ARINGO with 215 votes.
Meanwhile, ANGELIKA FLORES won the position of Local CSC Secretary with 509 votes over ANIEKA JANE C. TACDER who received 462 votes. FLORE MAY GRACE A. MURILLO was elected as Local CSC Treasurer after obtaining 685 votes, defeating ERLYN B. TIMCANG with 286 votes.
For the Local CSC Public Information Officer (PIO), SHENDIE B. LAPI-AN secured the position with 520 votes against CYBER KHEN S. BAYUNGON who received 451 votes.
In the race for Local CSC Business Manager, KENT HAROLD BAGAAN won with 551 votes, followed by SALVIO J. MASUMBID with 280 votes and GABRIEL JR. Y. ARINGO with 176 votes.
Under the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSE) Program, JAYSON L. BONTOROSTRO was elected Program Mayor with 545 votes, while RJ P. DELITO received 426 votes. For Program Coordinator, LADYJOY O. MARANGON and DEXTER M. QUIJADA secured the two available positions with 369 and 293 votes respectively, followed by JOHN MAR V. ALAG with 233 votes.
For the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) Program, KELSY G. MARCOS ran unopposed and garnered 971 votes as Program Mayor. The elected Program Coordinators were PRECIOUS M. LASACA with 198 votes and NEMAR L. QUINICON with 160 votes. Other candidates included CHARLIE H. CATESIO with 134 votes and JECOB D. MADRONA with 74 votes.
In the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) Program, JESSAN MAE PLAZA won as Program Mayor with 518 votes against ELBERT JHON U. TAMPIPI who obtained 453 votes. For Program Coordinators, JAHZEEL JOY R. PEREZ and MICHAEL ADRIAN C. MARIKIT claimed the two seats with 128 and 102 votes respectively, followed by NEIL JOHN N. CONCEPTION with 88 votes and BOBBY T. NAGLIBA with 53 votes.
The successful conduct of the election reflected the studentsโ commitment to leadership, participation, and campus governance. The newly elected student leaders are expected to serve as representatives of the student body and spearhead programs and initiatives for the academic year 2026 to 2027.
As these newly elected officers begin their journey in leadership, the student body hopes that they will lead not only with competence and confidence, but also with humility, integrity, and a genuine heart to serve, proving that true leadership is rooted in selfless service and commitment to the welfare of the entire academic community.
